That sounds a very productive morning @slm6002.  Great to offload 2 loads to the tip and some to the charity shop as well.

As I said to my sister as she was horrified when looking through the window on her last visit, you can now swing a cat in there lol.  Not yet clear as we have tip tomorrow and then charity shop at some point, but certainly a vast improvement.  Still not found our blue peter badges that we have been searching for though.  Tried racking my brain to see if I know anyone who might lend us theirs for the day.  We have the cards as got replacement ones a while back, but need the badges that go with them.  I can feel that I have done a lot as my muscles are already starting to ache.  I also fell over earlier and grazed my elbow and hand whilst trying to collapse a cardboard box!

Anyway we heard today about DD2's new club that will replace the one that has stopped.  She starts tonight at 6.30.  We have both changed to look presentable and she will have a snack now and spaghetti probably when we get home as was not ready to do dinner as yet as we tend to eat later in the holidays.

Anyway will get ready and then head off.  Fingers crossed she likes it (her friend goes too so should help).

All quiet here at the moment as the children are asleep and the cats are still snoozing.  Will need to be up early tomorrow as I have my hearing test at the hospital at 8.30am and it is at least a half hour drive without any rush hour traffic.

Anyway back to today,  shower time once the water has heated, then we have crochet at the library, pick up the remaining school shirt that was on order and post DD1's ebay items while in town.  Then load the car for charity shop and delivery, load the car for the tip and deliver.  Then Barbie movie for us 3 girls - DS didn't want to join us as not his thing,  but will have the  treats that we will take along and watch one of his films at home instead.

After all of that I may just collapse lol.  Not sure how much we will spend today but it shouldn't be much. £2 donation to the crochet tin they have and then buying some sweets for the cinema - tickets bought the other day! and postage for the ebay bits I hope to use stamps we already have.

Ok the water should be warm by now so will catch up with everything later :)

A busy few days here and we are not finished for today either.

Yesterday at the library I learnt to do my granny squares.  Not very confident at getting started but once I have a square I am happy to keep going and it is getting bigger and bigger lol.  I guess a blanket is going to keep us warm, but I need to learn how to change colours as it is the all the same at the moment.

A final trip to the tip yesterday for the week (can only go 3 times but think that is the rubbish done now) and a film (wasn't that impressed with the Barbie - maybe just me though as the girls enjoyed it).

This morning I was up early and at the hospital just gone 8am.  I am officially 'moderately hard of hearing' according to the tests, and although the right ear is worse (I knew about this one), the left ear is getting bad too, which I guess is why it is getting harder for me to cope without help.  Anyway I have been referred to ENT just to check nothing else is going on, but until then hearing aids will be issued.  I had moulds of my ears taken and now just need to wait until I get the call to have them fitted.  Fingers crossed they will help me.

On the way home I picked up the material items from my dads - and deposited them in the clothes bank on the way home.  I also sorted out the charity bits to make sure all parts of games etc were present and correct and all saleable.  All now neatly in boxes ready to deliver.  Dad hoping to do this tomorrow.

Think I can sit down for a bit this afternoon now I know we are not delivering charity bits today, but not for too long.  I need to take pictures of the youngest 2 for the blue peter cards ready for the zoo trip.  I emailed the zoo and they said that the card with out the badge will get DS in thankfully - no more needing to hunt high and low.  To be honest we have looked everywhere already.  I also need to sort the kitchen out now the bin was emptied this morning.

    Busy busy :)

Good afternoon.  Woke up early again and came downstairs and did a little more crochet to my blanket.  Need to not neglect my cross stitch but the crochet grows so nice and quickly lol.

Delivered the charity bits, but 1st shop couldn't take it all so had to rethink and visit another.  All gone now though and Dad's workshop is empty of our bits, as is the garage.  I do have 3 boxes of paperwork to go through but that is it.

It is a lovely sunny day but we have no washing to do.  Feel like going round and hunting for anything that might need washing to make use of the sun.  I hope it is nice tomorrow as we are off to the zoo.  Still need to take pictures of the younger 2 for the cards, as well as hunting out bits for our picnic.

We have club later but other than pottering round we have nothing else planned for today.  So more crochet and a puzzle that needs completing.  Got to have a few lazy days.

The gate man planned on coming today as he is off on holiday tomorrow, but said he would be here this morning, so have a feeling he is not going turn up now.  It will be sorted but maybe not this week.

I cant believe we are nearly at the end of week 3, and only 3 more to go. Not sure where this week went.  Ok off to relax in the garden maybe :)

Yesterday we went on a little trip to the zoo.  The blue peter badges and DD1's student card saved us £37.  It was still an expensive (for us) day out but the total cost split between the 4 of us made it a bit more realistic.  Lots of the animals were in hiding though which is no ones fault, but feel a little miffed that we couldn't see them.  We still had a good day even if they were all moaning it was too hot, their feet hurt and they want to go home now!  I feel there is a theme to any trip out we will now take.  Unless we are home they are not happy.  I will keep going though as we cant stay home all of the time.  We took pack lunches and I bought them an ice cream on the way home as I was not paying £3.50 each for one.

DS's bed has started to break so I have bought him a new metal framed one.  He is a big lad so I figured the metal frame will hopefully be stronger, as he is not going to get smaller.  It should arrive Monday between 7.45! and 9.45.  Going to need to be up early but at least we should have it built by the end of the day.

He is also in need of a desk as really needs to get some work done for his exams.  He is so capable but will not revise or put in the effort.  I got him through his phonics test, and his SATS, and I will get him through his GCSE's.  He is due to get his results for the 1 exam he did, on Thursday.  He refused to revise much.  No idea what sort of grade he will get.  I guess if not as well as he had hoped that might give him a reason to study - maybe wishful thinking.

Right about to walk into town to collect school shirt and DD2 from her volunteer work at the library.

I'm up early ready for the bed delivery so I expect it will arrive at the later time lol. Either way I am up ready for the day ahead.

Yesterday DD1 and I went to a local town to look at an art exhibition for her school work.  There wasn't a lot there but it was the kind of work she is doing to ties in nicely.  We also had lunch out which was a nice treat.  Only a weatherspoons meal but a treat. Less than £20 for both of us including our drinks.

Not much planned today.  Bed delivery - make the bed up and work out the best way to fit a desk in DS's room.  Possibly make a desk - I have a sheet of wood and have found some legs at the local DIY shop.  I also need to call the Doctors for both DD1 and DS as they have both had coughs that are playing them up since before the holiday.  We saw the pharmacist yesterday while in town and they suggested seeing a GP, so I will put a request in shortly (another good reason to be up early).  DD2 has band later so pulled pork going in the slow cooker shortly so it can be a eat when home and hungry type of meal.  The house is still a mess from bits we have bought back from the garage / workshop so I need to work on that today.

Tomorrow is back to the library for more crochet.  I think I want to learn something new as my blanket is now a decent size and I feel like I have mastered this stitch.

Bed delivery came around 8.30 so not too bad.  We have just finished putting it together and it looks good.  Now to work out if it can stay where DS likes it or if it will be better in another position for the desk to fit.

We have also spoken to the doctors about both children, and although they both have the same cough and symptoms DD1 was diagnosed over the phone (I am no longer allowed to speak to the Dr on her behalf) and DS needed an appointment.  Inhalers have been prescribed for both until the cough is under control.

Much needed lunch in a minute and then back to desk sorting

It looks like a sunny day here for us so the first load of washing is in the machine and will be pegged out before we go to the library for our weekly crochet session.

Yesterday we rearranged DS's room much to his disgust and I built him a desk.  I bought 4 legs and some wood - easy peasy, he has a desk.  He doesn't like it as he will be made to study which he really is not fussed about but hoping I can get him to see the benefits.  We need to remove some bits that  no longer fit in his room and put the large musical instrument in the loft for now.

Downstairs is still looking awfully messy so really need to work on that today, as well as remembering to put the bins out as forgot a fortnight ago so recycling bins are overflowing.  First a trip into town to the library though.  We dont need to go to any shops so other than £1 for our donation to crochet, it should be a very low spend day today.

Homemade pizza for dinner tonight - as long as I remember to put the dough in the bread maker later on!
