Another £10 cashed out from Surveys. I think that makes £40 for March. The last 23p cleared overnight so counting as March rather than April.

Fantastic that the remodel is underway and your new dining table sounds like a great fit for the space. It's such a great feeling doing up the house the way we want, isn't it?Mortgage start date Dec 2015 - $64,655.00
Mortgage end date Dec 2045 - NOT!!!!
Mortgage balance - $4600.00

Thank you, yes it is starting to all come together. The children don't like change but will get used to it. I have fixed the table together and it fits really well in the space we have, but is still big enough for what we need.
I have had a good clean of the kitchen this morning and managed a few loads of washing. Next is to set the dough going for pizza before I nip to screwfix to swap the fixing for the worktop over as I bought the wrong size. Dad has taken the chair template and the wood away to cut the new bases for the dining room chairs. I am hoping to get those recovered this week. I really don't think that there will be much sitting around this holiday though with everything going on.Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

What a lovely sunny day it has been. Unfortunately we were stuck indoors in a sports hall until 3 for a tournament. We had fun even though we didn't come near to winning. It is all good experience for them. They we commented on for smiling throughout the competition and looking like they were enjoying themselves rather than taking things too seriously like some others.
DD1's boyfriend came along to support which was nice but I find it hard work if anyone else is in our little family group. He has only just gone home and I can only now relax. I made a nice curry for myself as the children wont eat curry.
I also heard from the builder to say yes electrician will be here tomorrow and then plasterer on Tues. Maybe they can fit pipes on Wed and toilet and sink Thurs so it is working even though maybe not very pretty for the weekend? Who knows they may stop after plastering until next week.
No money spent today as we took food and drink us - tell a lie I bought some raffle tickets but didn't win, so only a few pounds spent.Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

What surveys do you do? Tempted to do some. Although how many hours do you think it took to earn the £40?

I am with prolific but I think there is a waiting list currently. They are the best one that I have found. You have to be online at the time they are available, but as I spend quite a lot of time online I see them pop up, and just do them if I see them. Some are only worth 20p others are more £5, it just depend on how long the survey will take. Some you can earn bonuses on too which helpsMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

* Well I have been to work to open up and later to close up. Brownie points as well as being paid.
* The electrician has been but was only here for a very short while. Tomorrows builders and the boss have been to see tomorrows bit of the job as its another person who hasn't been here before. They have taken all of the rubble away (plus a few extras I added to the pile).
* I met my friend from work for breakfast.
* Just realised I had forgotten to feed the animals so far today for my friend. I will go and do that next and always done in the evening so not a problem, they wont be starving lol.
* DD1 made a lemon cake and DD2 went to free activities and lunch at the local teen centre. DS has amused himself mainly but has logged onto the school classroom for a little while, which is progress I guess, plus stripped his bed for washing.
* 2 loads of washing on the line and almost dry in this beautiful weather.
Overall it has been a great day. If the rest of the holidays is this nice it will be greatMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

What another lovely sunny day (solar is doing great). I have done almost nothing today other than watch the builders do their stuff. We now have an actual room. It has been boarded up and the initial plaster has been put on the walls. Tomorrow they are back to put the final layer of plaster on. Then I guess the fun starts plumbing everything in. That is the bosses job apparently. Not sure when this is happening yet as not heard.
I ordered the garden gates which will hopefully be fitted by summer so that we are totally enclosed and no one can just wonder in. They can ring the door bell and then we will decide if we want to let them in.
Another 2 loads of washing have been dried on the line. I love doing washing when it can go on the line.
Tomorrow we are in a local town for the day while DS has his computer workshop. I need to check how to get there as not sure which college it is being held at and they made sure to say it start at 10 sharp. DD2 and I will shop for a few bits that are needed and I will treat her to lunch out. Lets hope the weather stays nice.
Jacket potatoes for dinner tonight as nice and easy. I could do with working out a meal plan for the next week and maybe having a slow cooker meal tomorrow - maybe sticky chicken and noodles - that way it will be ready on our return as I will worn out by then.
Have fed friends animals including refilling / refreshing the scary birds water bottle. Had to put hand in cage - very brave of me. Need to get some more celery for tomorrow for the rabbitMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Nothing special planned for today other than cleaning and putting things away. I have done the food shop early this morning to try to avoid the crowds. It was still fairly busy though. Scanned it all for points.
I have dropped DD2 off at the swimming pool to meet her friends. One of them is moving to New Zealand in May so they are trying to make as many memories as possible before she leaves.
Yesterday we went shopping and we spent a lot. Mostly on things that were needed and planned for but not been on a good shopping spree for quite some time.
The plasterer put the final layer on the downstairs toilet walls and they are drying nicely now. Next is installing the plumbing and adding and skirting boards and the door and door frame. No more this week though so we can tidy up today.
My brother is coming over to finish the worktop today. My friend is popping by to drop chocolate off and my Dad is planning on bringing the chair bases over today so I can repairs the chairs. May need to use old chairs from the garage until they are done.
Right time to tidy.Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Well happy Saturday. It has gone quiet here and my Uncle is with my brother and his family for the rest of today and DD2 has been dropped off at her sleepover. The older 2 children are in their rooms. The house remains tidy and looks good. I have weeded one of the flower beds and planted some more strawberry plants that I bought the other day. Out the front still needs weeding and the new evergreen bushes planting.
The plaster on the walls is almost dry. I almost need the builders to not come the first day back so that I can paint while nothing is in the room. It will need several coats so I doubt I would have time to do that before they came back. I will just have to paint around things. I would like the plumbing etc to be done asap so cant have it both ways. The light I ordered also arrived this morning so I think that is everything now purchased for that room.
Been into town and already done my steps for the day. Only things purchased were 2 shirts from the charity shop ready for DS's work experience. I could use a nap right about now but wont as will make the most of the quiet a clean home and being able to just sit and sew.Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19
