April Progress Report:-
April's monthly mission was to spend 21 hours outside. (21/21)
• Complete 21 jigsaw puzzles - 1000 pieces (21/21)
Five 1000 pieces puzzles completed this month - The Beach Hut by Ravensburger, Winter in the Village and The Florist by Falcon, A Visit to the Vet by WHSmith and Bonjour Paris by Jumbo. I've now completed this challenge but I'm tempted to turn it into an A to Z or 21 jigsaw puzzles by each of the different manufacturers. However a lot will depend on what is available in my local area i.e. local retailers, charity shops, car boots as jigsaw puzzles from online retailers are either out of stock or prices have increased to silly amounts.
• Have 21 screen free days (6am to 6pm) (4/21)
I had four no screen days during April (2nd April, 3rd April, 10th April and 14th April). I was definitely more relaxed and chilled out as a result of not being online or watching the news first thing in the morning.
• Read and delete 21 emails every time I access my inbox
Unread emails have gone from 6000 to under 500. I got it to under a 100 at one point but screen free days saw it creep back up.
• Purchase a maximum of 21 second-hand items (12/21)
Two jigsaw puzzles and 10 books from the local charity shop. I just picked the first 10 books off the shelf as I was feeling a little apprehensive as it was the first time in a shop since lockdown lifted.
• Read 21 books from 21 different authors (new to me) (17/21) & Read books published in 21 different years (3/21)
Seven books read this month - The Castle of Tangled Magic by Sophie Anderson, A Winter Love Song by Rita Bradshaw, The Lady In The Car With Glasses and a Gun by Sebastien Japrisot, Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman, Sister by Rosamund Lupton, An Orphan's Sorrow by Cathy Sharp and The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald.
• Swap 21 items with people in local community (14/21)
10 jigsaw puzzles swapped at the library and via local classifieds.
• Walk along 21 different streets (2/21)
Two nice short walks around local area and I was surprised at just how much gardening people have done during lockdown.
• Watch 221 films A to Z (59/221)
Eleven films watched this month - Alpha (2018), Animals (2019), Commando (1985), Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017), Queen of Katwe (2016), Red Joan (2018), Suffragette (2015), The Equalizer 2 (2018), The Girl in the Spider's Web (2018), The Good Dinosaur (2015) and We Bought A Zoo (2011); which means I've ticked off A, Q and W on the A to Z.
• Win 21 competitions hosted by 21 different websites (14/21)
I only received one prize this month a DVD but no compliment slip so no idea which website I won it from.
