I’m the same. I’m on my own too. Decided against mixing with family. My choice but it is difficult. I’ve been calling family and friends though and exchanging texts.

Thanks for all the comments. I'm ok. I think I am anyway. its just that I'm not usually one to show my feelings. and I just crack on and get on with life. but it was like someone or something stopped me and said 'not so clever now eh'. but I'll get over it. onward n upward.

I think you can be strong 99% of the time but then something small or trivial can send you over the edge so there's nothing wrong in getting upset.

my mum's  on her own ...sister has already FaceTimed her to open presents & I'll do that tonight.

I was right all along. Christmas should have been banned this year. Should be like the Olympics. Once every 4 years would be plenty.

its ok. just got christmas dinner for one in the oven. i got a turkey breast wrapped in bacon, spuds sprouts. i think it nearly ready.

I'm not sure about that - it brought a tear to my eye (and I've WhatsApped my children. grandchildren and brother today).  Strange times we live in.... tomorrow is another day.
