p4 parking fine

Hi,
Got a p4 parking fine outside a residential block, was helping loading a mate who moved into a new place. Was only there for no longer than 10 mins. Was just going to leave it but not sure whether I should try and appeal it? Its not the government so they don't have the right to enforce it. The van isn't mine and works but is hired from enterprise.
Is it worth appealing ?
Thanks

What's a 'p4 parking fine'?
Who is the parking company?
I think it's time for you to read the first post of the NEWBIES thread.1 -
The company is p4 parking. Just had a look at their website looks like they wouldn't do anything about it if I ignored it.KeithP said:What's a 'p4 parking fine'?

Just had a look at their website looks like they wouldn't do anything about it if I ignored it.How does it imply that? No one has recommended ignoring a PCN in England/Wales for around 8 years. P4Parking do have some operations in Scotland, are you based there? The van isn't mine and works but is hired from enterprise.I presume you only have a windscreen ticket at this stage? As it is a hire vehicle, you will need to hook the PPC away from Enterprise around day 25. The NEWBIES FAQ sticky, the opening post, is important reading for you, because once you have a better understanding of the basics, the advice we give thereafter will be much more meaningful.
Please answer the above questions. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

As above , more info required
They definitely have the right to enforce it in Court , but have to persuade a judge , so never assume you can or should ignore it
Read the bottom of the first post in the newbies FAQ sticky thread near the top of the forum , where hire and leased vehicles advice is given , plus 2 templates that can be adapted
The Jopson case seems very relevant in this case , I think that was about loading or unloading1 -
And so don't appeal it, I'm confusedUmkomaas said:Just had a look at their website looks like they wouldn't do anything about it if I ignored it.How does it imply that? Please answer the above questions.0 -
If you answer the questions by giving us more info we could clarify the matter , but it's like getting blood from a stone so far
You appeal as a hirer or lessee on day 25 to P4 parking if it's London and not Scotland0 -
If you hire a vehicle NEVER ignore a windscreen PCN. The NEWBIES thread tells you what to do, please read it again.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I have answered all the questions asked! So in 25 days I'll appeal it. Should I put keeper or driver when asked ? Its a work van that is leased, I think from enterprise they lease from. Any more info needed ? He ain't even taken a picture of it so how is there any proof that the van was there in the first place ?Redx said:If you answer the questions by giving us more info we could clarify the matter , but it's like getting blood from a stone so far

You are the hirer or lessee; nobody knows who was driving.2

Neither , you are hirer if there is a hire document or lessee if there is a lease document , so not driver and not keeper eithermrteabag69 said:Redx said:If you answer the questions by giving us more info we could clarify the matter , but it's like getting blood from a stone so far

If you read what I said above I said as hirer or lessee !!! , In your case , it's as lessee
It would be extremely foolish to tell the parking company who was driving !1
