  • What a horror, so many bad stories related to parking, I somehow participated in the project and we created a parking app design for the application, and I think that this can solve a lot of problems with parking tickets! In fact, I've even used several and it actually makes life easier. Although the parking inspector made several mistakes and wrote me a fine, it did not cause many problems. By the way, I read a good article on the Cleveroad website and I think you can also evaluate it “Guide to Creating Parking Management Solutions”

You seem to have dropped on a random thread from last year.  Did you have a question?

I'm halfway through my witness statement, which needs to be in by Friday 4pm (even though it's a bank holiday?).
This morning I received a letter from BWL, saying 'Great news - 20% discount offer'. I'm assuming that's standard copy & paste practice from them? They're still demanding over £200. Might as well finish the WS then.

Check your allocation order and see what it says about the deadline.  Is it a specific date or is it 14 days before.......  It is likely to be the next working day, 6th April

It specifically states 2nd April 4pm. It's no bother, I'll be sending by email anyway.

A BWL 'great offer' is sometimes followed by a 'great climb-down' and a discontinuation. There's no guarantee and you must keep doing what you're doing as though this is going the full way ....... but there may be a bit of light.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Thanks Umkomaas, I so hope you're right but I will assume it's going the full way, I've done most of the hard work now, so might as well finish the job!

I'm just putting my documents together for the evidence bundle, having received BWLs today. So far I have included the Claim Form, my witness statement, supplementary witness statement, my costs schedule, photos and selected correspondence, referred to in my WS. Should I include my defence statement or any other court documents? Thanks.

What does the court order say?  In pre-covid times you did not need to send the defence again but some letters have said that "because the judge might not have access to all the papers you should send.........."  Did it mention statement of case?  That can sometimes be used to mean defence.

It mentioned the Claim Form, all pleadings or statements of case, all orders made by the court, witness statements and any documents you wish to rely on. I will send on the defence statement too. Thanks.
