E.ON has taken my DD payment 12 days early.

I have a Santander 123 Lite account that I use exclusively for 4 DDs which all come out on the 1st of the month.giraffe69 said:Well, clearly, EON are in the wrong. Also on the day the cashback is paid, 4 days later, I withdraw that as well giving a balance of £0.00 for about 20 days of the month.0 -

Eon took my DD early, leaving my account short, they promised to repay it on the 29th , still waiting despite assurances at 8PM on the 30th..0

Was your payment taken on the 24th? My usual date is the 24th so it was taken like normal but refunded yesterday. I'm guessing that all DD payments taken on the 24th were refunded whether they were correct or not. Just received a text message to say the payment will be taken again tomorrow.0

Santander have given me 2% cashback today on the E.ON direct debit taken on 24th December despite them refunding me on 29th December.RG2015 said:

My payments are always taken on the 1st of the month or the next working day if the 1st is a weekend or bank holiday. Therefore, the DD should have come out of my account on Monday 4th January 2021.
I suggest that E.ON customers check their bank accounts to see if they have been affected.
If anyone from E.ON is reading this, I would appreciate a comment and perhaps an explanation.1
