They mean they have truckloads of invoices from various parking companies , which leads to template letters to hundreds of victims like you , so you are one of many in the Highview stockpile which they seem to have got around to unpacking and processing

Surely you didn't think you were the only one ? Highview have been stockpiling invoices for years , covid19 revenue loss has woken them up and Highview have passed them all to DCBL for chasing up

what was the date of the parking ?

Plan A is complain to the landowner., even if you think they will not care .

Hi I checked again and it was actually June 2015 - meaning that I am approaching 6 years if I can hold them off for 6 months.  Then I think they are no longer allowed to get money off me?
Due to the Christmas period I am not holding out much hope that the landowner will get back to me about this.

The letter of claim says to get back to them within 30 days - should I do that?

Ah I see what you mean. Would you recommend that I get in touch with them now, within the 30 days they have given me? Or just directly contact highview data protection officer?

    Thank you!

It was foolish not to appeal , an easy win at the time , even at Popla

    Yes complain to the landowner

Email a SAR to the DPO at Highview to obtain all your data including documents and pictures etc , attaching a copy of your V5C as proof of I D under the GDPR law , or attaching copies of 2 recent redacted utility bills instead , but not your passport or driving licence

If a court claim pack from the CCBC in Northampton arrives before 6 years are up , come back to this thread for assistance

The defence is legal points , including frustration of contract due to delays leaving the car park , circumstances beyond your control

The witness statement stage is where you bare your soul , not the defence
Sorry, just realised I responded to a different post of yours about this, just wondering why I should not use my driving licence or passport as ID? I don't receive any utility bills in my name and all my bank statements are online! I am writing the SAR now - Thank you!

Jeez, I wonder why not to show your name, DOB, home address and photo to a scam industry...

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You need to understand that DCBL are MUG HUNTING
Chasing up old tickets for Highview actually exposes Highview to the fact that covid has damaged them and they may not survive ?

You reply to the 30 day letter and reference the fake add-on DCBL have applied.
Ask them "what is their legal authority to add unknown amounts"

THEY HAVE NONE and will probably reply with the usual rubbish. Perfect for a judge to read.
If no reply, that's perfect to tell a judge, if they cannot explain, their claim is unreliable

DCBL are not clever, have a look  at what happens to dodgy legals

Were you sent pictures of the signs dated 2015.  This will give you a clue about the fakery DCBL adds on
If they provide up to date pictures then they are scamming you

Hey thanks for your reply. I'm not clear if they have added any amount into the fine, they do say they will charge 8 per cent annual interest on the 140 pounds though, would that count?

Your driving licence has your date of birth , driver registration number etc , your passport has similar information on it , none of which is any business of the parking company or their solicitors , think privacy and data protection , surely you are aware of not divulging this type of information ??

Why on earth would you divulge your date of birth to them ?

As for the charge , the maximum figure on the signage and the PCN would be £100 or less , a typical unlawful add-on is £60 or £70 , so £140 has been inflated by say £60 or more , so it's £80 not £140 , the interest rate is not 8% but much less on a lesser amount , Highview never comply with POFA 2012 so no keeper liability
