EDIT: WITNESS STATEMENT : Highview parking DCB legal

Hello, I'm new here and have probably misunderstood some things from the newbies page.
I tried to leave a carpark, Norwich riverside retail, but the traffic was awful leaving the car park so I couldn't get out for almost an hour after I got back into my car. Naively, I thought that so many people would have got the fine on that day that they would realise and cancel the fines for that day, so I didn't bother appealing. 🤦♀️
From the newbies note, it seems like everything I can say in defence is all about the size of the signs etc., but that wasn't the problem? I understand this is just a template but should I bring all this up when this is not what I feel my case is about?
I'm going to write to the landowner as suggested but I feel they won't care, and I'll have to go to court. Getting my head around all these things seems impossible and I'm a bit scared! I read in the news someone else had the same problem and popla upheld the fine as there was no evidence that the driver took a long time to exit. Also this happened 4 years ago so I don't have any 'evidence' either!
Thanks for any clarification or advice!

Do not expect these companies to behave reasonably. Read this and complain to your MP

You never know how far you can go until you go too far.2 -

It was foolish not to appeal , an easy win at the time , even at Popla
Yes complain to the landowner
Email a SAR to the DPO at Highview to obtain all your data including documents and pictures etc , attaching a copy of your V5C as proof of I D under the GDPR law , or attaching copies of 2 recent redacted utility bills instead , but not your passport or driving licence
If a court claim pack from the CCBC in Northampton arrives before 6 years are up , come back to this thread for assistance
The defence is legal points , including frustration of contract due to delays leaving the car park , circumstances beyond your control
The witness statement stage is where you bare your soul , not the defence2 -
OMG this would have been cancelled with one email, not saying who was driving. Highview are the easiest ones to kill at source. Oh well, kill it at court.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD2 -

I have found that the landowner is a big investment company "Nuveen Real Estate"... not sure who to email about this really, or what I should ask them to do? Contact Highview and tell them to drop the case?

This link just takes me to a UK homepage - I'm assuming there was a more specific part you were suggesting?
