    Thanks tinker. That's very helpful. I'll have to wait a month now before activating the new Data Reward SIM, as I may as well use/expire the 1gb of Data they added to my account before inserting the new SIM. I assume the My3 account is phone number based, so once they migrate my number to the new SIM it will show on my My3 account.

    I had issues setting up a data sim to get the 200MB, took a few calls and a few free GB I waited a month each time I got the free data.

    I think that it has to be done over data from the phone or something similar just setting up my3 on a pc does not work.

    It was a while back and in the end I think they just reset everything at their end and had me register again.

    There is a newer 3 app that links into my3 much better.

    Thanks tinker.
    Yes, that's why I contacted them. Just tried that link with the same result and yes the first link does direct me to that address. I'm using Chrome to do this - no reason why that should be a problem is there? If there's no time limit for registering (I can't see any anyway) in the T&C's, any idea why it's saying SIM not eligible.
    Thanks re: migrating. That's very reassuring.
    Same result? Hmm. Using Chrome shouldn't be a problem, as I recall when I set up a sim I used Chrome, but it won't hurt trying another browser although it probably won't make any difference now.

    Thinking aloud - going by one of your earlier posts, you've got a credit balance. Have you topped it up? I vaguely remember reading something somewhere that said you need to activate the free bundle before adding credit, and there being some horribly technobabble reason why. In any case that could be why the sim is saying not eligible now, but I am guessing.

    Either way, with that being the case, looks like you'll have to wait for the new data reward sim to arrive, then in this order; activate the free bundle on it (try the second link first), register the sim (this makes the next part easier), then contact support and ask them to migrate (that's the key word) your current number over to the new sim. Confirm with them that the free 200mb will remain and your existing credit will transfer over (this shouldn't be a problem) then the migration will take place - they'll walk you through what will happen.
    Hi tinker,

    So, I finally used up my credit on the Data Reward SIM, so a few days ago, I tried the SIM they sent me back in Dec 2020 in my phone using the tips you gave. No luck.

    After an online Chat, I requested a new Data Reward SIM, which came yesterday. At first I couldn't get it to work (using Three.co.uk/freedata). Then I followed the steps from a Youtube video where you change the APN (Access Point Name) from three.co.uk to 3internet but this time I tried http://devicereg.three.hostedservice and it worked. I'm now none the wiser whether it was the http thing or changing the APN that made the difference.

    Tonight, I have just been on Chat to migrate my old number to the new SIM, based on what you said. They say this can't be done (even after the Chat was moved up to the Complaints section). I can't get a transcript or easily copy the Chat, but here's some of it;

    I wish if it was possible to do that, even our support team will not be able to get that migrated otherwise we would have loved to help you with this.

    I do realise this, however we don't have the option of migrating the old number on the new SIM card.

    You can move that number to other network and get the PAC code from them so we can get that number transferred over to any Three PayG or Pay Monthly SIM card.

    I guess I'll just have to keep the new number, as not many people have my number, so I don't think it's worth going to the trouble of PACing it out and back in again. What a pfaff.

    Next is to find out whether I'm on 3/2/1 or 10/10/5 (old SIM was still giving me 321).
