Morning folks
@determined_new_ms - that sounds like a lovely evening
Still no sign of OH's results (at least not at 6am). We keep very different bed times so I'm alseep about 9-10 and awake at about 6. OH comes to bed at about 12-2 and sleeps until 10-12 so I won't find out if he has a message til later. I have had to come clean with the oven men so now it won't be fixed until the 4th Jan. Oh well, as you said DNMS - there's plenty of other cooking options in the house. According to the internet you can even do roasties in the sc! Who knew?!
Bit annoying though as my b-i-l and m-i-lturned up an hour early last night to pick everything up so I didn't get chance to cut us off a bit of turkey so I'll have to scuffle round in the freezer for some chicken. I think (annoyingly) that OH used all the breast meat up in a meal instead of dark meat bits. Anyway, everyone knows that the best bits of Christmas dinner are the roasties and the stuffing!
Well I'm not sure what we'll be doing today but I guess it will involve peeling veggies, eating chocolates and watching Christmas movies!
I hope everyone has a lovely day

Morning guys
Hope you all had a lovely day yesterday. We had a quiet one, just the 3 of us which was lovely! Today we are taking madam to stay overnight at dd's. Which means round 2 of gifts for madam
I need to go through the fridge and make sure everything is used up and nothing goes to waste! I did rubber turkey last night and have loads of meat enough for sandwiches and probably 3 meals. Will do a curry, maybe a pizza and not sure what ese. Will have a think...
After today's feast we will return to normal food and drinking which tbh I am looking forward to.
Might do some sewing, intend to read my free library book. I'm loving it but tend to only read when I'm going to bed and then get sleepy. I only have it for another 2 weeks so need to step up my attempts if I want to finish it!
watching a pair of pjs that end today on fleabay and hoping I snag them!
Right going to go and have a bath and get ready. Will hang up washing while I'm running it
Hope you all have a lovely dayDF as at 30/12/16

Morning all
I hope everyone had a lovely day. We had some very nice pressies from people which was great. I have a lovely tipper pull along truck for the allotment and a wicker produce trug/basket and lots of lovely foraging books.
*The rest of the post is not so chipper so please don't feel that you have to read.*
In other news OH's test result came back positive so we are covid confirmed (although it's not a suprise). OH seems poorlier than me although I woke up today having lost my sense of taste and smell which, although I know it's a symptom, I wasn't expecting it suddenly (average onset is actually 3.4 days apparently). OH also scared himself by googling various things about covid disease progression. We then got a call from my mum to say that my nan had collapsed and died while at Christmas dinner with my uncle. It was a nasty shock and so typical of 2020 but I'm ok. She was 87 and was still living independently at home, and went quickly so you can't say much fairer than that. I was sad that she didn't get her Christmas hamper I'd made for her though
Today will be sitting around in quarantine trying not to get anxious
Love you all lots

Oh CLF, I hope you and your OH are ok, and recover soon. And what a sad shock re your NanWhat a rubbish end to a rubbish year. Hope things look up for you (and indeed all of us) in 2021.We had a nice day yesterday with DS and his GF and DD2 and her family. DS and GF went to loads of trouble and cooked us all a lovely meal. First time I haven't cooked at Christmas for years, and I must say I could get used to it! I was only asked to supply some mince pies. Back to reality today, though we are still in Tier 2 it appears. Not for long I am sure, as all the surrounding counties are Tier 3 or 4.Currently cooking a piece of gammon for dinner later. Not much in the way of other plans, but I will do a bit of housework and check the fridge and meat safe (in chilly conservatory, used as an overflow fridge at the time of the year, though not usually for meat, unless it is defrosting) to make sure nothing is spoiling.1

So sorry to hear this CLF. This sparked a conversation in our house as to whether 87 is old old. I think we came to the conclusion is it but will depend on how isolated people become will play a huge factor.
I didn't get the PJs in the end. Not necessarily a bad thing. Although I'm still in the worm hole...
dd gave us a load of left over food, so I now have even more to contend with! Did some sorting and reorganising in the fridge and thought of you DawnTomorrow I'm going to have to slice up and freeze some stuff
I have saved loads of wrapping paper from gifts so I think this with what I have leftover will be enough for next year. New evel of tightness but it makes me feel virtuous not being so wasteful. Still buy loads of stuff that generates too much waste. Need to re-double my efforts to reduce waste
Think I'm going to watch a film with oh later.
Hope our fence stays up during storm Bella
Ok see you all tomorrow

Morning
I didn't sleep well last night and kept waking through the night. I was thirsty but a bit too sleepy to get up and do anything about it!
Today I am going to pick up madam mid-afternoon. Have tentatively planned to meet with a friend for a walk. Not sure how that will pan out with the weather, will make contact with her and see where she stands on a wet walk. Think I will have a quick tidy round and then do the last touches of blue paint in the hallway as want to get cracking and finish this over the next couple of weeks. I want this year to be the year of the house as we have several rooms that need re-doing. Have spent some time looking for inspiration for storage/making the most of small spaces
Hang up washing & put away yesterday's
Have got back beans out of freezer to make turkey & bean enchilladas for tea. Will divvy up and freeze enough turkey for a few meals as wellAlso need to slice/chop ham and freeze some of that .
Use up lunch and snacks as much as is healthy/possible through the day
make bid on pj bottoms ending today on fleabay. Also want to list an item on fleabay and a book on local marketplace
When pick up madam play family game and possibly watch a film on netflick/amazon/TV player
finish off 2 face masks I made dd - think I will get on and do that now
Put some stuff in the composter. I want to take a bag for life to a woods and collect some leaves for my composter but today is probably too wet and I have been putting off for fear of looking like a mad woman!
Ok think that's it. Hope you all have a good day xDF as at 30/12/16

Morning allDNMS, don't worry about looking like a mad woman, I have been doing it for yearsVery wet overnight but seems to have settled now - hopefully. Just done dog walk with OH.Today I will:Do a bit of houseworkMight get out into the garden to deal with fruit trees. They are dwarf ones but are getting too tall, and Google tells me I can top the leaders to limit the height. Will need OH's help with the thicker ones as my arthritic hands won't manage it.Pick some spring onions while I am out there, and do a bit of tidying up if neededPut a loaf in the BMSalmon for dinner as I didn't fancy anything Christmassy. We have ham cooked, but it was only done yesterday and is fine in the fridge for today. Plenty of bits to finish off for lunch.Ought to list some more things on ebay, as lots have sold over the past couple of weeks. I have a couple to pack, but no post office open round here till Tuesday, so no rush. Also ought to work on my budgets for 2021. Aiming to spend less than I have this year!2

Hi everyone
Oh CLF, big hugs to you. I hope you have mild symptoms and feel back to your usual self soon. What a shock about your Nan. I’m so sorry to hear that.
Generally just chilling at home here. We’re just farting around eating too much so can’t complain.
I’m hoping to sort out my bullet journal for 2021, although not planning on planning too much! Using GoodNotes on my iPad. I never know what to do with old journals. I don’t particularly like keeping them so this has been a good no-waste solution for me
@determined_new_ms about the wrapping paper have you thought about making snazzy gift wraps with your seamstress credentials?! I was going to buy some stretchy sparkly ones on Etsy but I bet you could make amazing ones easily.
More turkey here today... Funny, the turkey said serves 8 and we’re still eating it but the sausage rolls that said serves 16 are all gone
Catch up soon me lovelies3
