Good morning all,
Thank you for the lists. I’m in, of course.
Presents such as they are, are nearly all wrapped. We won’t mention the jumper for DSis that isn’t quite finished... Cards have all gone, decorations are up, although there are some that we can’t find which must still be lurking in the depths of the loft.
DD has a hospital appointment in the big city today, which, frustratingly, the consultant would not move to a telephone one. So DH and I have the days off work (no parking so he has to drop us and drive off), and she has to endure an appointment in person. Consequently I have been awake for half the night reliving events of the past few years and worrying about today and DD’s future. Roll on this afternoon. If there are any spare posivibes, they would be very much appreciated for later this monring.
Round - I am sure that I have missed something, but who is this poor Homer who needs to be rebuilt, and does he know?!I think that my frozen turkey that was wedged into the freezer in a fit of organisation might need to come out to face the world (well the fridge at least) today...off to check...
Have a lovely day all, and take care x9 -
Posivibes heading your way Fayolle together with a liberal sprinkling of flylady dust xx Homer is of the Simpson variety and a relic of Christmas past. I put new batteries in but he still wouldn't dance and sing, so I dismantled the base to check for loose wires. Nothing obvious- I can hear the motion sensor clicking but no response. Probably something perished inside...he must be 16-18 years old. Anyhoo he is now put back together and DS can take him home the next time he calls. He looks festive even if he doesn't perform. (Homer not DS 🤣)
Working my way through Round 1.
Back later

I'm in, thank you for the list Valli ❤
Not sure what plans are for today..finish off my list from yesterday. Wrap Dave's presents while he's asleep this afternoon, hopefully will get them all done. I have a couple of cards to write then post out so will take my daily exercise with Banji this afternoon- poor lamb will be shattered after going out with Dave on a 3km walk this morning..lol I have to go through my freezer and sort that before Wednesday, finalise my Tesco's order and then hopefully breathe..lol

Morning
DD already up and 'at work'. I thinks she's answering calls so no vacuuming upstairs.
My plan for today includes ironing which I will be doing imminently.

Round 1 completed and present swap with P and S done.
That's it. I'm ready- as in all the Christmas preparations are completed. By 21st December - I must have forgotten something major!!! I suppose I ought to start flying now. But I'm having a cold drink and 5 minutes first.

Morning all. I have survived the weekend on minimum sleep but managed 6 hours last night plus a leisurely cuppa in bed this morning. Since then a lot of little jobs have been done - such as re-potting all the plants that were crammed into the basket that my friend sent for my birthday/our anniversary/ Christmas (they never last until Christmas
). The house is already looking tidier and a bit more festive (that will hopefully get more so during today, as I tackle each room), and I am feeling more relaxed than for the past fortnight
I haven't yet contacted any of my children since Boris's shambolic announcement. I'm not sure whether it will make much difference to DD's plans (they need to see DS-i-L's parents, who are considerably older than we are), I don't know what DS1 was intending to do anyway, and hopefully DS2 will be willing to meet us at a convenient pub car park on the county border for a SD exchange of presents!
I am still in my PJs!!! so first job is shower and dress, then
- carry boxes of decorations downstairs
- start WMx1 of 3
- make coffee and prep soup for lunch
- decorate tree and complete flying in DR
- put up cards and sort magazines in LR
- fly through the rest of the downstairs rooms
- take Rosie for her walk: it keeps raining for about 10 minutes at a time, and there's no wind between the showers to dry out the mud, yuck!!, so we might have to walk round the roads, but that we means we can deliver more cards by hand.
This evening we plan to sit down and watch a recorded concert by the folk band that we should have been going to see tomorrow evening.
Hope you all have a good day and manage to complete everything on your own list. Nice to see you back with us, Jojo. Round, you are soooooo organised - congratulations, Wonder Woman! Narc0, thank you for sharing your flower arrangements - they are beautiful.

Freezer half emptied to the friend of Boog.. he has been out of work a while and I have food we were given so I am sharing.. 22 bags of frozen leeks is excessive! And we had some but we won’t use which he will. Anyway.. I now have 3 empty drawers and OH is being fed ‘leftovers’ for the remainder of the week. I have my meat delivery to separate and put away, my veg box is being delivered today and I need to trot Dots Glasses to opticians to have the lenses put in her new (again!!) frames.I have 3 more parcels to arrive but only 1 is a present.
prescription requests put in to drs so we shall see if they get their acts together at all. I usually order through the boots app but it takes an extra few days so I emailed requests straight to the surgery. I was due blood tests 6 weeks ago but I just can’t be bothered, it’s too much effort and I’m not dead.
best feed the beasties and crack on with bossing OH about!Charity shop, tip, opticians, my mothers (present drop off) and Tesco this evening. He can clean the fridge too, and mop the kitchen. That should keep him busy!I have plenty to be cleaning and putting away and tidying so I won’t be sat watching... and Hazel has become bowel happy and keeps depositing in the bathroom but did 3 in the hallway overnight.. OH cleaned up 4 already from overnight and there are 2 more already.. I have 6 litter trays, she has no excuse!I paired half a basket of socks yesterday so have cleared some kitchen floor.. I have one more box to pair .. of black ones!!!

Decided given panic shopping that I'll give Mr. T a miss tonight, so I've done the last of our shopping at the local village shop and the two village farm shops. Probably cheaper too. These are proper farm shops not those fancy overpriced ones.
Council work and paid stuff done. I have had a busy morning as I've also dusted the living room and bedroom, done all dailies and properly hoovered and mopped through. Bedding is changed. DH has booked a delivery slot for 29 December. The dogs have not been walked yet though as it's pouring with rain.Spend less now, work less later.9
