Should I be concerned if there are no sale history in a postcode?

Now I am just speaking from my experience here. Our last house was ex local authority. The area had a mix of private owned, housing association and council houses.fsttb said:I called up the local council, they couldn't confirm as to exactly which properties are council-owned as often they are managed by HA etc however they did mention that the block of garages behind the property belongs to Council. They don't look to be in use as we found plants just in front of Garage doors. There are a block of flats in Verona close opposite to the property, they are dated, not sure if they are HA, I called up the company 'Remus' which manages the property but they didn't reveal much. Should I be concerned about the garages owned by Council? I spoke to a couple of people on the street behind and they said there are some council-owned houses.
We really didn't enjoy living there and had problems with antisocial behaviour. We would not consider living in an area like that again.
The new build estate we are on now has a fair number of private rented properties but the rents are very high so they attract a different clientele.
Now I'm not saying that everyone in a council house is a bad neighbour, far from it some of our neighbours were lovely. But it only takes one or two bad ones to ruin a neighbourhood.1 -
OP just use PropertyLog on similar houses in the postcode area to see what sellers are thinking price wise, basically IMO the house is over-priced and won`t hold it`s value through the economic strife we are about to experience, the government won`t be able to backstop everyone`s wages for much longer realistically?1

Did further research by looking up the streets opposite and behind, this is what I found. There is a block of flats in the other side of the road which has about 45 % social housing and there is a subway to cross the road in front of the house. The street behind has a mix of council flats as well.

Unless you are 100% sure you will want to live there long term, don`t buy this.1

Take a look at
https://nethouseprices.com/
This gives you the actual sale price of each property in each particular street.1 -
Does it give detailed, or even general transaction figures?Neil49 said:Take a look at

Just to settle the postcode debate once and for all...
UB8 2LJ
104 addresses.
BUT...
They're all near-duplicated.
1 Verona Close and Woodlea Court, 1 Verona Close
(and so on to number 52)
So 52 actual properties.2 -
Just look at the nearest comparable property and use PropertyLog to monitor asking price drops IMO.0

It gives the sale price as per the Land Registry.Crashy_Time said:
