I’m stating a fact as well that you seem to disagree with
if furlough is not extended again in April then we will see very very high unemployment and it would be extremely stupid of government to bring back the MIF0 -
It's only a temporary measure as part of coronavirus easements and if furlough isn't extended, the removal of the MIF won't be, as both are part of the same/similar legislation.MD201989 said:I’m stating a fact as well that you seem to disagree with

if furlough is not extended again in April then we will see very very high unemployment and it would be extremely stupid of government to bring back the MIFYour logic is totally flawed. The suspension of the MIF is part of the support package for self employed people, like the SEISS grant scheme and the furlough scheme for those in employment. They will likely all end at the same time, when the Chancellor decides that support is no longer required. It would make no sense to end the furlough support for employed workers but carry on supporting the self employed, or vice versa.Anyway, as stated elsewhere, we have no way of knowing but will no doubt find out in April what will happen.
