As a previous tenant, I would change it myself if it was easy enough popping the cover off, changing bulb and popping cover on again. Going through the agent and getting a call out etc would have been so much hassle

When we were renting, I just did the small jobs myself to save bothering the landlord or waiting around. I changed the pull cord for the light in the bathroom when it came off, replaced the toilet seat when it came off and even replaced the spring-loaded hinges on the cooker lid (which wore out again before we left, so I just left them afterwards). Not sure if they were for me or the landlord to do, but I just did them anyway.
