as others have said, it is a light bulb and just because it happens to be inside the fridge makes no difference. it is still a lightbulb so you will need to replace it.
replacing it is very simple, so just take the old one out to identify what it is, buy an exact match from ebay and put it in. if you can't be bothered then use the fridge without light and let the landlord deduct the cost of the bulb when you leave from your deposit.0 -
Having commented on the OP's other deposit thread, we probably don't want to go there again with regard to deposit deductions. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.7 -
Check it is the bulb - I found I had accidentally flicked the on/off sensor lever into the off position so changing the bulb didn't help. About 2 seconds to sort once I realised what the problem was.

Even if the fridge were faulty, we don't know who is responsible for repairing the fridge. What does the contract say? LLs automatic responsibility is "not other fixtures, fittings and appliances for making use of the supply of water, gas or electricity),.... "But as others have said- it's a consumable. A light bulb.

I wouldn't rely on the advice of internet strangers on this one. I think the arguments for and against changing the light bulb yourself are much more nuanced than people suggest, and you need to instruct a QC and get councel's opinion."Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance" - Confucius10

Never mind the fridge light, who is responsible for changing the OP’s nappy?11

There's got to be a 'How many tenants does it take to change a light bulb?' joke in here somewhere!
