But these tickets are from August 2017 to July 2018, well before COVID. BWL are not chasing CP Plus tickets from 2020 ..... yet.steve1500 said:What Trust - Most Trusts have suspended parking charges because of Covid.
Also ask for a copy of the contract under FoI. Also ask, if a standard NHS contract was not used, who authorised the use of a non NHS Contract, also any documents / reports that show the company are complying or not complying with the terms of the contract.
I can tell you for free, if the standard NHS contract is being used, they are not comlying with itApart from the hassling of a Doctor at a desperate time when they don't need any added grief in their life, I don't think the COVID angle particularly assists. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I agree, none of my advice was because the events happened during the pandemic because they didn't. The point is simply that in a civilised Society, this is atrocious treatment of Hospital staff (pandemic or not) and must stop. The only way to stop these court claims is publicity and telling those in Government who are connected to the Knight Act, and the Dept for Health who need to wise up and stop letting their 'programme board' be dominated by the two APAs, such that the pleas from consumers and patient organisations are being trodden all over and ignored.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Each PCN is no more than £100 , so times by 17 it's a maximum of £1700
But plan A remains the best option here , complaining about this to the trust , plus all the other preemptive strikes1 -
Understand now. A formal letter of/before claim is normally followed up by a N1 court claim form from Northampton CCBC and the CCJ will/might follow if the judge hearing your case awards it to the claimant. It is by no means an automatic process.IAS93 said:
Sorry I mean - I've done some reading on here and it's been stated that Letter of Claims are likely to be taken to court for a CCJ?Le_Kirk said:
It's not a fine; at best it is a speculative invoice. LOCs being taken to court - what does this mean?IAS93 said:
Haha yes I know, it's just being hit with a £2550 fine and seeing a large proportion of LOCs being taken to court. It's just something I don't have the time to be dealing with. Thank you for your help.Half_way said:One other quick thing, you haven't been fined4 -
But be comforted that, if it does go to court, the claimant is likely to struggle. Judges are not fools, they know the game these scammers play.

Everybody above has diagnosed your problem Doc.
After investigation, there is good news. YOU DON'T OWE £2550
DCBL are scamming you for fake amounts and the courts don't like fakery
But, did you reply to the LBA ?

I think that the Government are under pressure to abolish parking charges for NHS staff. There has been petitions regarding this.
The current situation in England seems to be that after the pandemic certain groups will benefit from free parking charges and this will included NHS night staff. That may change to include more NHS staff as the Government are under pressure and there is currently a PMB going through Parliament.
Whilst these changes are not retrospective they will have some influence on your case.
It is important that you keep ahead of the changes regarding NHS parking as this will surely impact on your case.
Did any of the PCN's relate to night parking?

Thank you for all of your input, and apologies in my delay in replying.
For those who asked - I had initially sent a SAR to the relevant company (Cp plus / Globenexus ) and an letter to DCBL stating that I have asked their client for a SAR. DCBL instead just replied saying the amount is due within 30 days (there is about 2 weeks left till their "deadline"). I still haven't recieved the SAR I requested ~ 6 weeks ago.
Anyways I'm not fussed about the above as I believe even in the worst case scenario I get taken to court, I will expose these companies via media outlets for their partaking in promoting legal action against healthcare workers for parking in their own medical facilities. I am not the only one who has been placed in this situation before, and I will not let subsequent healthcare workers/patients be placed in these circumstances.
I have e-mailed the Hospital Trust CEO who is investigating this matter internally, and has said that I will be updated. I have also e-mailed the relevant MPs and awaiting an response.
Again, thank you all for your input, and I will of course keep you all posted as to what progress is made with my case.3 -

As said above, and at the same time ask DCBL for their legal authority to add unlawful amounts.
DCBL ARE SCAMMING YOU ..... the courts don't like that2
