Hi
Post Office trick has worked, thanks. Wish I'd known about this sooner, I have been going round in circles between Barclaycard & Jaja. I was also told that UK banks have not yet added Jaja to their systems.
Thanks

I read this and transferred the balance on JAJA to another credit card using my old Post Office card and it worked. Transferred yesterday and money credited to jaja today. Thank you all for posting this information, I would never have known and would’ve continued to pay high interest.0

Does anyone have any steps on how to transfer using the Post Office car? Thankss0

streety said:So pleased to have found this thread. Thought I would search while I was on hold to HSBC, calling to find out why I had my balance transfer declined. No longer on hold and about to try the old PO card trick.
I guess the alternative is to take out a loan.0 -

a JAJA credit card?
I was previously with post office which has since switched over to JAJA. I was informed a couple of weeks ago my 0% rate was expiring and after trying to do a balance transfer to both a sainsburys bank and a HSBC credit card, both have refused to approve the transfer from JAJA.
I have since spoke to JAJA and was informed that as they are new it will take 1-2 weeks for other banks to approve balance transfers, so I am to try again in a couple of weeks. Sounded to me like I was just being fobbed off but we’ll see.
Only other option I can see is to take a loan out to pay the remaining £5000 on the card or I will be paying 22% interest on a card I cannot transfer from!
If you have the available balance on another card, it should be approved straightaway by the other bank.
There was a issue with some CC that you could not do balance transfer from due to the banking group they were using. I think it was BOI that was the issue and they did not have systems to process them.
But going forward. You need to make sure you have a plan to pay off any balance transfer in the 0% timeframe. Not hope for more offers later on.
Life in the slow lane0 -
The experience with Jaja, after never having had any issues with the Post Office account, has been extremely frustrating and costly. Despite several letters, email etc to Jaja enquiring why they were not honouring my agreement with the Post Office I gave up and arranged another balance transfer with another company.

Hi All,
Wanted to jump on and update, as I have found this thread really useful.
As with many others, I wanted to balance transfer from Jaja to a new Sainbury's card that I took out to avoid interest blah blah....
I called Sainbury's after the BT didn't show on the new card, they informed me that they aren't doing business like many other CC companies. At which point I found this thread!
I was able to find my PO card number as a ref: on my direct debit on my bank statement Thanks to KittenChops. The BT sum came off my overall credit card limit straight away on the new Sainsbury's card, and the balance is now on the card 72 hrs later. It has also been settled on the JaJa account too!!
As of this week, the PO card number works well!1 -
So glad I found this thread so I can (hopefully) finally be free of this shower. I cut up my old PO card at the beginning of this year and I'm struggling to find any paperwork with my old number on. I found a statement where the number is partially asterisked at the top, but on the Giro credit it has what could be my number in the account number. The numbers match up with the non-asterisked parts at the top. Is anyone able to confirm that it's the same number?0

Well, after a nervous 48 hours the balance transfer reached my Jaja card. So pleased I can move on from them now!0
