Thanks @Blackcats - I am really trying to think that way and "every storm runs out of rain" and all that. But it is hard at times!
Didn't make it out yesterday daytime. Been told DC1 can go to old nursery Tuesday as well as his contract actually runs out that day, so will get bics/chocs/cards etc over weekend instead.
Went out for dinner with friends which was lovely (I always dread it but it's always a good night) which was £66. Really annoying and I did drink in the end!
DH spend in WR the other day was £17.56 - showing on card now.
I also spent nearly £69 on some signed first editions from the oxfam online shop (so at least it's gone to a charity). I basically collect (for my kids), signed first editions of books I think will go up in value. So these were 2 of the christmas series ones by Matt Haig as his first christmas one has been made into a movie being released this year. I have a few first editions (newer julia donaldson ones and philip pullman) which am saving in the hope they'll go up in value and the kids can benefit in the future. May or may not work but it's my little hobby. My mum buys them some too.
Today we are going to a local event so will be entry, parking and food. DH has taken afternoon off.1 -
Giving up this month - it is just horrendous. We are having a horrendous time (I know it's all relative and there are REAL problems going on in the world and for a lot of people, but that doesn't necessarily make it stop hurting for us) and so we are just spending on going out/enjoying ourselves/activities for the kids to keep us occupied/out the flat as much as possible.
I think I will come back with a new diary when I next get paid and am back at work.
Take care everyone0 -
Hello Rebecca - having fun as a family is important and sometimes the budget needs to flex to take account of the context.

I am intending to start new diary on Sunday as this month we have gone over our budget by at least double(!) if not more, and new budget starts Monday! I also need to think of a suitable heading/motivation. Hope you are all doing well x1
