Welcome back D123456789 👋 You have been very busy 👏 Is LO enjoying school? & did you increase or decrease your hours? Enquiring minds want to know - oh OK probably just me being nosy 🧐😉 Your generosity knows no bounds - storing items, donating clothes & storage boxes + discovering even more baby items to donate 👏 In addition to keeping up with day to day cleaning & tidying + working👏 One Gold Star ⭐️ on its way 🙂
(Ireally must learn how to quote)
so my hours are the same but redistributed differently over the week. I go to work very early and DH takes little one to breakfast club at school then he has work. I finish early 2 days so I can pick up LO from school, then I do one long day so DH picks up LO from school. The other 2 weekdays in theory I am off work (pandemic permitting) so I can be organised, get groceries clean the house and everything else. (In theory)
LO is enjoying school and we are so lucky it’s only a 15 - 20 minute walk. Been busy so spending less time at home I am a bit more relaxed about storing decluttered items. In the spring I literally couldn’t wait to get stuff out the door. I have also gone in phases with online selling - lately I have given loads of stuff away but there are times when I am not so generous when I am saving up for something. But really we have everything we need and I like to help others when possible. It’s all a balance isn’t it. Thanks for the gold star ⭐️ it’s inspiring me to keep motivated! I am trying to spend more time cleaning and tidying and less time watching others doing it on you tube 😂 it is so nice when the place is clean.
@StickyTheStickInsect
I will buy a steam cleaner and let you know how I get on. I have to say I am very experienced at breaking things 🙄 so will definitely avoid the one you mentioned!!8 -
Hi Peeps,
Monday turned out OK. We got a couple of jobs completed and stuff from the house. We had a weekly meeting in the morning to see what we could accomplish. Finally got the wood from behind the settee that has been there for nearly 2 years, after a debate it is only a 30min job. What I didn't see what had to be moved in the shed, wood stored in said place and items moved back
I finally advertised some laminate flooring packs and got a quick responce to them being collected. However that too had been stored a very long time (4 years!) and had not been in a ventilated place. Blurgh for the smell and rot to the carpet, worse of all having to sleep in there for the moment too. That won't happen again!! Fortunately got the rotten stuff into the bin before collection in the morning. Money now with a stash of which I'm saving, not sure what for though yet.
Tuesday - The girls(us adult ones) had an MSE day out treat on the train paid for by one of us. £1 each it cost her. Not been on a train for over 10 years. Decluttered some money on selves and others (that's what life is about) and we missed all the rain too. Making plans for another adventure.
Wednesday - not much done. Started to check information of frog that needs dealing with. Booked in to the tip to drop off 2 mattresses and some old oil for recycling and anything else that may need to join them.
Stay safe

Sorted that bag of stuff - another one bites the dust!Found 3 or 4 old cameras in there. Might try & list them on eB*y, if no joy will take them to the CS.6

More money being decluttered this week. Sunday I texted out plasterer to see if he was free to quote for two ceilings being fixed. He came W d quoted yesterday and, because he’s waiting for a big job to start, he’s free to do smaller jobs so he’s starting tomorrow! This afternoon/early evening has seen us emptying the rooms so he can crack on tomorrow✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Hi vascodakarma.Amazing things happening on here.Did my jobs today but no frogs as I went for a brew with my neighbour who has broken her leg. Bought a velvet throw from fb for our bed.
We have no electric tomorrow as an oak tree has to be cut down in the wood at the side of the house. Sadly the branches are growing through some cables and also roots are pushing a wall out. Sad for a healthy tree to be cut down but if it were to fall it would fall on my roof.I will have a go at some frogs tomorrow but hand sewing a quilt is more appealing.Vx:8 -
Hi Vulpix! I got myself in a right old mess having some stuff on my phone, other stuff on my iPad, and then trying to sync and streamline everything.I’m getting there, and it it seemed like an apt username - one of my favourite explorers.I’m still playing catch up from last week. I was due to have my flu jab on Monday but that didn’t happen. I’ve not heard anything from my GP surgery about booster or flu shots so I’d booked my flu shots at boots. However, I’m pretty sure that my hospital admission pushed me up the Covid list because I had a text inviting me to book it almost as soon as I got home.Knowing that I am still a bit subpar, and I had discomfort for more than a week last time, I’m taking it easy. No choice really but I like to kid myself that I’m in control 😂😂
On a very bright and positive note, I slowly walked back from medical centre today and passed by a new Rowans charity shop! I managed to pick up a brand-new fat face blouse with its tags still on for £6 – original price was £35. I absolutely love it! Ideal for my capsule wardrobe.I missed my haircut last week so I must ring and apologise about that. I see the dreaded PIP forms arrived while I was in hospital – I’m terrible, I just get filled with an overwhelming urge to clean the house from top to bottom before paperwork. Urghhh8 -
Hi all, the 2 electrical items have been taken to the repair place. The weather was dreadful and driving on the motorway it was like a monsoon
.. I dealt with a few quick union issues when I got home, though I am expecting a follow up phone call about 1 and I think it might turn into a big issue
.
I appear to have caught a cold, after all the posts about not having 1 for ages so I took a test, negative, and took myself off to bed with a hot drink.
On the subject of jabs I have had both my booster and the flu jab, I had no side effects with either despite being warned of a couple so all good there
I also managed to break a tooth so tomorrow I will try to get a dental appointment.
So much money being decluttered this week my purse is starting to complain about overwork and demanding to wfh
Take care everyone9 -
Again so much going on, decluttering and RL, virtual hugs to those in need/want.
Feeling overwhelmed but trying to plough on. DD1 moves into her rented flat in about 9 days so much should go with her. Bathroom fan broken, and few other things, and people not come back to finish garden (started in March and its a small London garden and they weren't doing it all!).
Tuesday I wrote down 3 frogs/things
Yesterday sorted last of DD1 pile of don't want and took large bag to CS - count as 2 - 1 for bag and 1 for my sorting
Frog started about the broken fan (1)
DD1will have almost unfurnished rented flat so trying to get her take some of my things - wants little but persuaded her that some of her granny/grandad's things may be worth having (kitchen things). Only dad left and he is now in a home for respite but won't be going home, had to decline the extra care housing (with his own flat and carers on site) that I spent a couple of months finding/applying. Shown DD1 and DD2 a few things and neither like so realise things I am attached to aren't really that collectable or desirable - listed some, couple sold but people haven't paid, and others will go to CS but can see I have more emotional/mental clutter to address.
New CS bag, Colander, and 2 other things
Overall 9 to add to my total when I find it!
Oh yes, also trying to claim for the 18 months with rats(in the extension walls) and the firm using wrong valves etc. Have been loathed to say they have been decluttered as terrified of tempting fate and they will be back but been a few months - fingers crossed!9 -
1752 -1760 plus remembered 2 things returned as not working and 2 packaging making 1764.6

The 2 pairs of shoes I washed are now completely dry and in the bag for husband's relatives.I rootled around the attic again and opened a suitcase labelled 'carpets', which did not contain any carpets, but did have my ski boots, a pair of ski pants, an ugly rollneck sweater (for skiing), 2 pairs of cycling shorts (1 with label, 1 disintegrating). My ski boots will be sold, the ski pants I'll keep, the sweater will go to the textile recycling, 1 pair of cycling shorts binned, the other will be a St.Nicolas gift for husband. The suitcase now holds my summer clothes. This frees up the small plastic box that used to have my summer clothes; hmmm, what shall I fill it with? Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.598
