2021 MISSION DECLUTTER and CLEAN

Went to garden centre and spent £3.98 which must be an all time low. DS2 came round and re-organised my TV, Broadband and phone package. Out of contract and it had just soared without warning. Now paying less than before but it was extremely stressful and time consuming to do - frequently getting cut off and referred to another department. He then spoke at length to technical team and we seem to have resolved problems with broadband and tv. That's 2 hours of his life he won't get back. Not much decluttering:

vulpix said:Thank you Ms SD for my medal. I am really noticing the weight loss.( I have PLENTY more to loose). I could walk for ages yesterday before my back started to twinge. There was a time last year when all I could do was cling onto a shopping trolley to help me walk round a shop. I have lost almost 4 stone since last August.
Mystery flowers were from DD2,I never asked her as it was so unlike her. very pleasant surprise.
I love to read all about your endeavours, sometimes it helps me to think about items I had a blind spot for .
I am recluttering at the moment. Collecting free glass vases and tea light holders advertised on a local Free stuff site. These are for my son's wedding reception. I think I will need a lot more to have an impact on the room. I am also saving little glass jars and bottles. Dried grasses and flowers are in vogue for weddings presently.
I wish the weather would buck up a bit.I have so much to do in the garden.

Afternoon MrsSD and fellow declutterers, well I have decluttered the last three shelves of our bookcase. Some scrap paper sent for recycling along with some old cards, an empty pack of printer paper (new pack now purchased). Also cut up a gift card which expired in January 2020 (thankfully it has been used) along with some glasses clips for use in the car! A novelty item but I got rid of these.
Started with the gardening prep (albeit indoor) so we have started off growing tomatoes from seeds in small containers. Also have started today a window box container containing cosmos & black eyed Susan seeds. It's up in the attic at the moment underneath the velux window for light. Two pots are on the window sill containing lupin seeds. Not decluttering the seed packets yet unfortunately, first time growing plants indoors. Let's see how it goes. Sorry about the gardening ramble, but it does give me a boost.
New bookcase arrives this week for my daughter, so the old one needs to go asap. Need to start selling online now.
Appreciate the kind words about my wife, up and down week let's say. Plodding along as best I can. Hopefully more decluttering to report next weekend. Cheers 🙂9 -
Also forgot to add that I managed to finally declutter my right armpit hair. I've torn a shoulder muscle and couldn't lift it up. I had one shaved and one continental arm pit since January. Managed to get it off this week though.

Thanks so much for my gold star, Mrs SD, it's very kind of you. I hope you have had no side effects from the vaccine and, if course, you're allowed to be lazy - resting, that is! Years ago when I had a bit of depression after looking after MiL who had terminal cancer, my GP , a wise lady, said no-one has to be always on the go doing something - it's fine to just let the time pass by. With lockdowns how right she was! I've been out decluttering in the garden and DH and I cleared all the moss from the drive. It has this chalk chips called calcaire which are very cheap and which crunch down into a cement like base with small chippungs. But miss friend on it and grass . A big tiring job. That was when we had sunny weather. It is now wet, coldish and a bit windy so we're staying indoors. And I've been decluttering.
4 books
1 pile of tourist booklets
1 blouse
1 shirt
2 pillowcases
2 cushion covers
1 magazine
175+13=188/365
All the above for the CS except for the pillowcases which are too worn and so off to recycling for them.
I'm pleased about the books as 2 are from our resident books stock , not CS and so I hope eventually to have lots more space on the shelves.
You are right, Mrs SD, space is so relaxing and less stuff cluttering up the house makes it easier to keep clean.
Keep safe everyone and lots of hugs.

Sorry moss thrives on the drive! X6

@Mrs_Salad_Dodger you are right I get much more done with DH out of the way! LO went to bed at 8, a bit late, but DH also went upstairs he was in a bad mood 😒 least said..... anyway, I have worn out a pair of shoes, LO cycling helmet has had too many crashes, out it goes, she has a lovely new one. Found loads of boxes to recycle, cleaned up the kitchen, tidied the shoe cupboard, washing folded will put away when I go upstairs. toys are tidied, books put away.I have to say the whole place is not in bad nick...
so there is a box of clothes the size of LO cot to either sell or give away, usually I am good at getting things out the house but these are baby clothes and as we won’t need them again I hoped I could give them to someone close to me. Too sentimental over them to just give the whole lot to charity. Maybe in time I will be able to.The loft room needs some work in the closet which has lots of miscellaneous stuff to sort. G*d only knows what’s in the eaves cupboards. The office really needs sorting but DH needs to step up as it’s not my clutter. I would still like the office to be tidy though.. maybe I should just stay out then it won’t bother me!
Toiletries cupboard is being targeted. Overstocked kitchen cupboard needs some organising.I think I need to move my focus more to cleaning and organising for the moment.
I’ve spotted some lovely shelves on flea bay - am trying to decide if I really need them, and also if they will fit in the car..... I am tempted
it’s green bin collection on Tuesday so have to encourage DH into the garden. I am rubbish at gardening....
right let’s see if I can sort anything else before bedtime 🥱11 -
@D123456789
The shelves sound nice and a bargain if you need them, sometimes I need to buy in to organise a bit. It is so hard to resist a new to you bargain.
Decluttered 1 parcel to shop, 2 ready to go tomorrow to drop off at shop, then the rest can go to post office Monday. I do hope to sell some more tomorrow so I better get a shift on and get these ones out before I feel overwhelmed.
Had an offer on the remaining sentimentals but half of what I wanted so declined the offer. Now wondering if perhaps I should have got shot. They won't hurt sitting under the bed waiting for the right price so no harm done 😂
The CS pile has further diminished to clothes bank courtesy of plus one (!) as he passed a bank when he used my car.
I'm really busy tomorrow so I expect more will sell, maybe that's the secret hope nothing sells and it does 😂 😂
I've done a lot of baking but caught (as in burned) a couple of dishes so left them to soak overnight.
Kitchen is a bit of a pigsty (not really the right word) so will sort tomorrow.
