    Thanks @beanielou and @Ms_Potato_Head!

The van has been at the garage for a few weeks, really pleased to have it back, not so pleased with the £2300 bill! We’re going to dispute it with Vauxhall and see if we can get a bit back as it relates to a fault they had recently done a recall over.

    Surviving a really busy week.

Thanks for the ongoing support wannabes.

All the fixed savers have matured and I’ve paid £4,475 off the mortgage today bringing it down to £73,322 woohoo! We’ve been clearing about £10k a year since we bought the new house 4 years ago. Still holding on to the dream of being paid off when youngest is 18, which is only 5 years away!

In good money news, water company has refunded us £386 after we overpaid last year. Really poor communication, I thought it was a scam at first and had to ring up for an explanation.

Submitted my PHD funding app last Monday. Fingers crossed for me! I’m also angling for a promotion in the same team, which is a bit cheeky but work would benefit for 6months even if I do get the phd. The phd funding is tied to my salary so would be a pay rise whatever happens.

T’s boss has been interviewing this week, be nice if they found someone as he’s fed up of marking time with them now.

Off to make pizzas now x

T and I had a nice micro adventure for his birthday, cycling in the Peak District, hampered a little as I’ve been struggling with headaches for months. I’m starting a new medication this week which I’m hoping helps! I also suspect it may be hormone related but haven’t raised that with my doctor yet.

I’m trying to get on an even keel this week. recently I’ve felt stressy with work and volunteering, and have become rather unsociable. Giving myself grace though, I’ve had a lot on and feeling like a bear with a sore head doesn’t inspire one to be social! This week feels better though. Onwards and upwards wannabes x

hi wannabes, big update this month is that T is now unemployed! It’s good news as he was desperate to get out in the end. He went a few weeks early which obviously has a financial impact but is better than struggling on.

The plan is for him to get some house jobs done, rest and recuperate and start looking for work. A friend has some odd days he can do to keep some £ in his pocket. Financial impact is no saving or OPs until T is back at work, and he’ll pay a reduced amount into our joint pot. Feeling pleased that we didn’t stretch too far when we moved house.

    Done list 🏡

Shed base, new shed and racking ✅

I’ve had a full on weekend with voluntary things. I’ve booked today and tomorrow off as AL so I can have a rest, I’ve done very little today! upside was that the weekend was really sociable, I spent a lot of time outdoors including in the lovely Peak District and ate lunch outside on both days without getting rained on!

have a good week wannabes x
