Parking ticket from Premier Park - Changed address - Given to debt collectors

Hi all,
I need your help.
I was Issued a PCN by Premier Park in Porthleven Shipyard for not displaying a permit in July, I was in the process of moving house at the time.
I saw my old landlord recently who handed me a stack of mail, containing 3 PCNs and 3 more from Debt Recovery Plus who have now issued a final warning.
I have only just been handed these papers, I did not even know that they existed.
I am aware of the appeals procedure detailed on this forum. I was wondering whether this is still valid?
Does having only just received these PCNs change my situation at all?
Thanks for any advice in advance.

Debt collection letters ignore; PCNs take some action.  FIRST check that you have updated your V5C to your current address and find out when you did it.  SECOND advise the DPO of the PPC of your new address for service and require them to erase (use that word) your old data.  Then look at whether or not it is too late to appeal the original PCN (probably).  Then read the NEWBIE sticky.

Didn't you update your V5C logbook when you also sent off your driving licence to tell the DVLA about your change of address?

Or did you do so (NOT JUST YOUR DRIVING LICENCE) but were unlucky with the dates overlapping?

No, you can't appeal now and you will need to win this in court, if they try, as we almost always do.

Unless the landowner will cancel it.   No paying it.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • @Coupon-mad Thanks.
It seems I didn't send off my V5C, only my license so they were justified in sending to my old address.
I spoke to the D/C company, updated my address as the RK. No admission that I was driving.
They said its lucky I called and that I have until Friday until the case is returned to the client to take me to court.
Do I need to undergo the same process with Premier Park?
I don't have the time or funds to undergo a court case for this, bearing that in mind am I out of options?
    Thanks,
    G

How else do you hope to deal with it?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

You must ensure the PPC knows your new address and get confirmation

Ignore them, let them waste their money ....... they just lie.

You now wait and come back here  ....... not if it's DRP again ...... pointless outfit

Circus clowns are entertaining and don't hurt people - DRP aren't.

    Whaaaaaaat?

YOU PHONED THE POXY DEBT COLLECTOR WHO MANAGED TO CONVINCE YOU THAT IT WAS 'LUCKY' YOU CALLED THEM?

Where did we (or do we ever) tell people to PHONE a debt collector?  Answer= NEVER.

Now they have your phone number.

I don't have the time or funds to undergo a court case for this
What funds do you think are needed then?  Have you read ANY court claim threads?  It costs you nothing and there is no CCJ risk and no huge costs risked (in fact the added £60 that the DC is demanding is not allowable).

Jeez please stop doing stuff without asking here first.

We KNEW you hadn't updated your V5C, which is why I asked...but you appear to have accepted fault and blame for that even though it's a flaw in the DVLA data handling of people who move house.  This is no different than all the other cases we handle every day.  Almost everyone forgets to update their V5C and I hold the DVLA responsible for the CCJs people are getting, for failing to update all records when people send in their driving licences.

You cheerfully wait for your court claim, AS LONG AS YOU HAVE EMAILED THE PPC TO TELL THEM (NOT PHONE THEM!) WHICH ADDRESS TO ERASE.

Imagine phoning them...and them seizing the moment to lie that it is ''lucky you called us, you are just in time to pay more than is recoverable in court''...

ok , ticket was issued 1st july and you say you were in process of moving house
this must have been an ANPR type ticket , and the parking Co would have needed to get inital letter to you by the 15th july

when did you move house , before or after the 15th july ?
