Went to the local butchers today. Bill came to £15.30. After asking if they wanted change and handing it over, I realised that I could have paid with a £20 note and received two £2 coins. Doh!
That is what my husband would have called an own goal!!!!

    Oh no, Gem-gem! Missed opportunity!
The self-service till let me right down - I paid a £1 bill with a tenner, and what did I get? A fiver and four poxy pounds! Not impressed! BUT Mummy T came to my rescue as she owed me £10 and she gave it to me in the form of five plain but beautiful £2 coins! So that saved the day and I now have a lovely £12 in my Christmas pot! Happy Cazzie :) xxx

#18 with another plain coin potted.

Hope everyone is ok with the bad weather, know some parts have floods and when I went to work yesterday afternoon in the pouring rain, I never expected to have to walk home in the snow at 10pm. No work now until Sunday so doubt I will add any coins over the nextt three days

So I gave Mr. T another chance - paid £1.50 with a fiver, but did I get a £2 coin in my change!? No I did not! BUT in another little win, the previous user of the self-service till had left a small bundle of change in the change tray, so at least I'm 10p up :) Hope everyone else has better luck than me! xxx

👍🏻 Well done on your 10p roadkill find. Hubby and I went for a walk yesterday and found 2X2p and a penny. We have found 77p so far this month. Always particularly thrilled if I find a £2 coin. Last time was in the back streets of London West End.

Another coin today in change. I’m not sure how I feel about swapping money for £2 coins ... I could just take £100 to the bank and get 5 bags of £2 coins. I like seeing what I can get and it’s all chance. It was a mini moment of joy to get a £2 coin in my change today
