  • UPDATE!! well finally things are moving and quickly!! Recieved all the paperwork to sign. All posted. Solicitor says going to exchange and complete Wednesday. They said they have been doing it this way since covid? They have warned that keys may not be able to be collected till Thursday. Will depend on how quick the deposit is tranfured and the bank is in sending the money. Honestly at this point just feel relieved that it is finally happening

Great news! Hoping we have similar luck in January.
Then all we have to worry about is earning enough money to pay double our current mortgage every month for 20 years! 😂

    Ermmm
Are you sure? Once completion is confirmed you should be able to have the keys as the property belongs to you.

How on earth would that work if you had removal van(s) full of your stuff and nowhere to put it?

Hi, intially, there was a concern that the money would be requested from the bank but would not receive confirmation of it hitting the account by end of business. In time to go to estate agents to collect keys. due to the house needing some upgrading our position was made clear from the start, nobody would be moving in for awhile. Any who there was a change of plans! I did Lose it a bit. House buying is new to us so like all new buyers had to solely rely on info from estate agents, ma, and the solicitor. Information that wasn't always forthcoming! And when they did tell you something it was last minute, and They have you trapped for all intence and purpose, they know that after you are a little way along changing to different people would be impractical and expensive so they think you have to just deal with it. Um no!!  The solicitors received a few choice words lol they are not going to want to deal with me again🤦 but exchanged and completed yesterday !! Cut it close caught the estate agent by 10 minutes.
