The main problem is that even the authorities in India (where most of these call centres are) don't do anything about these scammers -- so whilst it might seem like the right thing to do, reporting to Action fraud in this country will achieve absolutely zero
There is a guy on YouTube -- JimBrowning - watch his videos to see how it all works etc - very enlightening. he has in the past reported to the Indian Cyber Crime dept (or whatever its called) with names, addressees the lot -- nothing happens, the system there is too corrupt and run by organised crime3 -

Had a phone call earlier today stating caller was from Virginmedia (my internet provider) stating they were aware of a broadband strength problem (which we had) and wanted to fix the issue whilst staying on the phone line. Went through speed test web page on Google which showed low download and upload speeds (the hook). Then 3 different callers later they stated they wanted to fix the problem via remote access to my laptop. They then instructed me to type in Zoho assist and the computer looked like it was performing a scan. At the end of which it reads, customer has low broad band width entitled to £304 direct debit refund. They then pass you to another caller and ask for me to open my bank webpage, at which point I fell in and said no and asked them not to call back. Guy became aggressive in tone. They did call back twice, but the some of the damage was done - my laptop was wiped of all documents, photos set up. Beware Folks and yes I feel like a dunceRetired at age 56 after having "light bulb moment" due to reading MSE and its forums. Have been converted to the "budget to zero" concept and use YNAB for all monthly budgeting and long term goals.1 -

We seem to be getting these calls daily now on our landline. We are joined to the Telephone Preference Service but each day now the calls keep coming. We block the calls but still get more, is there a way to stop getting them?0

Had another call today which was different in as much she knew my first name. At first thought it was someone I knew. Slightly worrying0

These calls are flooding in at the moment, using cloned UK numbers. Always disappointed when it's a recorded message, as it means I can't have a long 'pointless' conversation with the person calling.
Thought I'd had them all, but yesterday got two different numbers, but the same area code 01458 area code. Recorded message thanked me for my Amazon order and said £399 had been taken from my bank card. If there was a problem, I was to press a button to speak to someone and have the money refunded!!! I'm pretty sure it's the same recorded voice that tells me about my (non existent) prime membership renewal.0
