Delay in reporting

Is anyone noticing a delay in reporting for credit cards recently?
Both Barclaycard and MBNA are about 3 months behind on all 3 CRAs for me.

Yep, I think it's been commented a few times on here since March. I didn't get any delays until September, and my Amex is behind recently. Think my Barclaycard is up to date- seems to effect people differently.

Absolutely
My MBNA until recently was 8 weeks behind. It’s a total disgrace in this day and age it can’t be gone at the touch of a button!
They would be on your back the same day if you missed a payment!!!!0 -
Most of my accounts are running about 3-5 months behind in reporting across the CRA's.1

I'm about the same. My accounts have been reasonably up-to-date throughout the pandemic. Barclaycard is paid in full and has been stuck on the balance from 3 months ago for ages now. The CRAs give a more recent date for when it was updated, but the information they have hasn't changed.adamp87 said:Yep, I think it's been commented a few times on here since March. I think it really seems to depend, I have a current account with Nationwide, a mortgage with Halifax and credit cards with Nationwide and MBNA and all are up to date on Experian. A friend is currently going through a mortgage application and has multiple credit cards and the only one not currently up to date is Barclaycard which is one month behind, the lender just asked for a copy of the statement to show that it was still at zero balance.0

I agree I don’t think it’s good enough in this day and age, & when most workers have been back since August or call centres working from home.. (not sure if it’s a human updating these direct) - this should be done much quicker.0

I posted about this recently and got my a**e handed to me by the forum police.
In this day and age its a disgrace that we are held to ransom by these CRA's when it comes to our finances and yet they can't be bothered to update in time.
For the record it isn't JUST the companies delaying in reporting, its also Experien and Equifax (although they will blame the lenders every time) as all lender updates still go through the CRA's verification process before updates show on your credit report... I can assure you this is true no matter how the cra's try and spin it or pin the blame on the lender or post little warnings on the screen about how they are experiencing delays in getting updates from lenders.
The covid excuse is getting tiresome now0 -
Not defending any of the parties here but none of the people I know in big companies are back in the office - we are all still working from home and will be for the foreseeable future.adamp87 said:I agree I don’t think it’s good enough in this day and age, & when most workers have been back since August or call centres working from home.. With all due respect that isn't the customers problem. I struggle to see why working from home changes anything? If your working from home then your still working therefore I see no reason why there should be delays.MallyGirl said:

As I said, the covid excuse is getting very very tiresome0 -
The major issue that is having a huge impact on some companies is data protection, some data is being treated as sensitive enough that the are not allowing it to be handled from home. Often due to the way this data has to be processed first it needs people in front of computers and some offices are still only able to operate at less than 5% capacity when operating social distancing.JP2019 said:

Whilst I accept that some people would like things to happen a little faster, I also feel that by now people should be taking expected delays into account, rather than being surprised by the same issue again and again.1
