If you look at zone 5/6+ areas in east london on tfl rail then you might be able to find a 2 bed flat.Or if you go to beckton ( dlr) its a bit cheaper there, but still not the nicest area. If you would compromise and settle for a one bed then that'll open more options for you in nicer/ safer areasAlso what is your current salary, you mentioned mortgage of 183k is the max you've seen you could get (i.e 5 times your salary)? If so the mortgage that you might actually be offered might be a lot lower which then will change the budget you have for a flat
Would consider the 1 bed in East London. Which are nice areas in East London?
Thanks

ThanksGreenwich is lovely, but out of your budget, have a look at surry quays/ Rotherhithe/ new cross they're next door to greenwich on the overground and i think you can take a train straight to liverpool street and about 10 mins on the bus to london bridge.Top end of your budget but decent size.Walthamstow:

What I suggest that you do is find a flat that you like, then click on the 'show similar properties' button. If you do that for the Ruislip flat and widen the area a bit, there are 75 flats available. If you then choose to include the SSTC properties that goes up to 131.
At this stage concentrate on the SSTC properties because those are the ones that are more or less priced to sell and give you an idea of what you can actually afford to buy in the area.HTH.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?1 -

I think very north west (like ruislip) zone 6 will be affordable for you too. But just bear in mind your travelling from zone 6 to liverpool st (zone 1) so can be a bit of a pain but is very affordable over there, i don't know the area so can't comment on amenities
