The Co-op still show no interest in joining the cheque imaging scheme, and I imagine they never will as they have reverted back to a Freepost cheque deposit method, having withdrawn it a while back expecting folk to fork out for a stamp or visit a post office instead. They've introduced the address "Freepost Co-operative Bank Cheques" (not sure that address is a particularly secure idea but it does seem to work the couple of times I've used it)0

Hi, I received a cheque in the post today for over £1700. Do you know what the cut-off time is for Lloyds and Bank of Scotland as mentioned here?veryintrigued said:Lloyds group now £2000 per cheque and £5000 per day
Typically, if a customer pays in a cheque on a weekday (before their bank or building society’s advertised cut-off time) they will be able to withdraw the funds by 23.59 on the next weekday (bank holidays excluded, and provided the cheque doesn’t bounce)*. However, some banks and building societies may allow their customers to access their funds earlier than this.

Interestingly though, in my experience, if you look at around 16:00hrs on the working day before this it may well have cleared!1
