What is the best Debit or Credit card design?

I think it's quite hard to find an image that looks decent on a card. It's just not something I personally would want. It is good though that Barclays do offer this choice to people that want it.

They do appear to be updating it slightly, but even their new logo already looks outdated for me. I'm guessing they don't want to change their image too much as they do still have an easily recognisable brand, even if outdated.

I think the colour stands out a bit too much for me. I do like the minimalist design however not a fan of it being vertical.

I preferred the original purple Starling cards as opposed to the Teal ones they issue now

Same. The purple looks a lot better. The teal just doesn't suit a bank card imo.

HSBC Debit / Credit cards are nice.
Black Background with Blue /Lion (Debit card)
Black Backgound and Black Lion maybe not so much. (Credit Card)
Lloyds Debit card, black with Silver Horse and Swirl Lines looks good.
