BEING CHASED BY ZZPS

Hello,
I am seeking some advice. I am a tradesman and was carrying out some work in a block of apartments for a landlord in May last year. Neither landlord or building manager had permits for me to park in the gated (electric key pad entry) car park and advised to leave a note in the windscreen. The first two visits I did this and had no problem, the third visit I forgot to leave a sign in the windscreen and got the ticket. Tried to get it cancelled through building manager but ended up getting letters since from UKPS then TNC, now ZZPS for £160.
The parking charge date was 16/5/19. I got a final reminder from ZZPS on 20/11/20 before a claim letter I presume.
Do I have grounds to defend this if they take court action or am I better off paying it now? I have just earnt myself a CCJ this year not defending a claim because I didn't know the procedure so I don't really want to get anywhere near another one.

TIA

Debt collectors have no powers and can safely be ignored. They cannot do anything other than send you poor quality bog paper.
They cannot instigate court proceedings but the parking scammers can.

Did you appeal to the scammers? What is their full name as I think there are at least two companies with the initials UKPS?

Do you have written permission from the landowner/landlord/MA to park on site? If not, you need to get it.

Have you complained to the landowner?

You should check the lease/AST/landowner/landlord's ownership documents to see what it says and doesn't say about parking, visitors, parking permits, parking charges, and court claims.

All the information and advice you need is in the NEWBIE sticky which you can see as an announcement on the front page of the forum.  Go there now and read and come back if you have a specific question about the process that isn't explained in the body of the sticky or via the links provided.

Do you know why it went from one debt collector to another ?

That is because they are all powerless and they play musical chairs with each other.
The joke is they ALL WASTE THEIR MONEY.
You might get DRP next peddling the same old rubbish as the others
Just clowns from the local circus

PS: You do not owe £160, it's just the clowns faking it and looking for mugs

Yes I've learnt this over the last few years, I used to work up and down the country and had fines fairly regular getting caught out. Some give up and go away after years of letters and harassment, absolute low life scum bag vultures. Oh yes im fully aware I don't owe them a thing but im also aware that might not matter if I end up with a claim form.

That's interesting because according to Companies House, that company was dissolved in 2016, nor does a company of that name appear on the IPC AoS list.

Please show us a copy of the PCN, but with your personal data redacted.
