Oh I forgot to mention that my relative is not male.
When people hear about these type of awful allegations they immediately think it is a male.
The solicitor also said that whoever is doing this is in very deep trouble and not just with the university.

The wording of the latest post also makes me ask, is this in the UK?

Why are you posting on here then asking if it's a matter for the police?
Ask the legal adviser. Not random who only know what you tell us 2nd hand.
Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....

My FM has phoned one of the companies that received a email from this HR person.
FM was told that the company will not give a copy or let her look at the email.
They did say that the company had received a few emails from the HR person and they made allegations such as the ones I described on here.
They said only the police can demand copies if they obtain a warrant.
Also the company told my FM that the HR person would have received a copy email of the one they sent from the receiving organisation. Therefore the copy emails will be on the universities HR computers or server.
What should my FM do now?.
As you can appreciate it is causing a lot of stress and anxiety.
Also my FM has received a email from a yahoo address apparently from the HR person and it is very vindictive and admits to accusing my FM of drug taking and child !!!!!! knowing that my FM is innocent because it's revenge for my FM making a complaint about their friend.
  • I think everyones done with this. You have the police involved and the solicitors. There is nothing else anyone can add to this story...

The recipient would be correct in withholding the email if it identifies someone other than the FM.

The request for the copy email should have been made to the Data Protection Officer (or whoever the University have designated for this purpose) of the employer whose system was used to send the email.

(I haven't read back through the thread to see whether you actually have the police and a lawyer involved.)

It's very simple then...take this to the police as evidence and job done. Nothing else to be said, no more people to contact.

    Thank you and goodnight!
