Chaffeured my daughter the 32 mile round trip
to school (and back home), took my son and collected him from work as his car is in for MOT.  I also delivered his food to the office at lunchtime  because he forgot it.

Walked the dog in the glorious sunshine.  My friend joined me.

Worked from home on our year end and VAT return in every other available minute and now I have a massive headache.  I thought I'd be finished at that this morning but I'm still not.  The house still needs cleaning though!

It feels like the day is ended the minute it gets dark.

I changed my job last year, a sort of run down to retirement, I now work in a care home as a maintenance person/worker/man, or whatever title it is, so I’ve never been furloughed, so today I have ...changed a tap, changed a pull cord light switch, drunk lots of tea/coffee, replaced a few batteries in various door closers, had my COVID test, and, er, drunk more tea...
  • Working from home and ordered some bits from Screwfix, collecting them tomorrow. I'm hoping to get the lounge makeover finished before Christmas.
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.

Worked from home, done some washing. Decided to start the painting prep in the spare bedroom, got as far as taking the curtain tie back hooks off the wall then the blind wouldn't come down easily and I thought 'sod it, I'll deal with it tomorrow...'

    Worked.
Spent time trying to sort out Christmas arrangements now there’s a bit more clarity, including kennels for my delinquent dog.

Watched workmen finish installing fencing around my garden. Made numerous cups of tea/coffee for workmen. Dashed to local Co-op to replenish supplies of milk and cookies. Made more cups of hot beverages. Was very brave and didn't cry at the large amount of £££s workmen had to be paid. (They were very good, fence is lovely and they did some extra work for free, probably in recognition of the copious amounts of tea and biscuits/cake consumed).
