    Barclays had transferred the full amount into their reconcile account in Coventry which is now at zero balance.   
    I don't understand what this reconcile account in Coventry is, did they give any more information.

    From googling , it’s where funds are kept when it’s routine review

    It sounds as though they are investigating an out of character credit, if that is the case you will get a letter requesting evidence of the source of the funds

    Get another current right now. Get benefits paid into it. Get your DDs amended to it.

    I've never heard of any bank emptying an account pending review. I ymthink you've been the victim of fraud where the scammed is impersonating Barclays Bank.

  • Google 'coventry ops 05 adv' - looks to be like fraud on your account.

    Reconcile
    "To reconcile" sounds as if there is a debt in the name(s) of the account holder(s). Banks have the right to offset such debts.

    They've been scammed by someone pretending to be Barclays
