Well done Mademoiselle. That's exactly it - lots of little tasks done but it made a big difference.
I've draped the washed load onto the airer and radiators and someone must have blown flylady dust in my direction because I've WUDUPA another bowl of pots.

So glad I had company with the task of procrastinating today! Dogs walked, feet attended to, dogs bathed....and I am up to date with studying but won't submit this week's assignment until I've had a day or two to ponder what I've written. Also I've been to the shop again. I hate going every day but can't stock up on wine as DH would just drink it all, so I go each day just to get what he currently needs to stop seizures. After a year, I'm still not overly impressed with the alcohol reduction program.
Now doing not a lot for rest of day. Paid stuff tomorrow so will see what flying I can fit in.Spend less now, work less later.8 -
Afternoon all
Paid stuff done, I had a more productive day than yesterday thank goodness.
dailies done
laundry folded and put in airing cupbaord
wm x 1 run and on the airer, no sun here!
en suite and downstairs loo cleaned, main bathroom still to do, may try to do it after supper
having a quick catch up with you all then I will make a start on supper, will try and get out for a short walk too once we are done.
hugs to all x7 -
Healing vibes Mr Jazee. Badcat me too! In fact I seemed to get loads done. Had to meet someone who has drafted some plans that I needed to look it. I am strict about no-one coming in the office but it had to be done face to face. So, imagine a big oval conference table - me standing at one end, colleague at the other with the plan in the middle, both wearing masks and him trying to explain things, and me trying to understand. What a carry on, but we got there.
DS almost had tea ready when I got in, bless him. Baked salmon with chilli and ginger, a creamy leek and potato bake, and veg. Such a treat to come in the house and have tea put in front of me. I did clear up but that's fine. Oh and I put some washing over the airer.
Infection rates are going sky high in my bit of Yorkshire, suspect we might go into Tier 3. If we can merge with two families at Christmas it will be my parents and DHs Mum I guess. I would like to see Mum and Dad over Christmas if we can.9 -
Well having DB as a semi-regular lodger certainly encourages flying.
This morning I did drum practice then put away all drums, music etc neatly in a corner so Mr N could take over with hoover-wielding etc in the spare room.
Meanwhile I put a casserole in the slow cooker, put away a load of dishes, put a load in wm, swept kitchen floor, put away a lot of things which had accumulated in the kitchen.
Mr N continued vacuuming house while I tackled lounge: cleared and polished coffee table, dusted shelves, TV etc, cleared away all the Christmas cards and other gubbins on dining room table, wiped/polished dr table and chairs.
Did 2 flower arrangements: 1 a top up for the lounge, the other for the spare room.
Wandered up to a lady in the village who hand-makes crafts to collect what I had ordered.
Caught up with admin. Now booked with 2 assessments each week up to 17 Dec.
Picked 3 of the few remaining apples on the tree and made a dessert.
Mr N went to visit MIL; he had to sit outside behind a door-shaped screen with a smallish window. He said MIL looked fairly well, getting frailer (she is 91), not talking much sense, happy talking to him but he wasn't sure she really knew who he was and kept trying to reach round the screen to touch him. He bought a new hot water bottle!
Finished labelling this week's paperwork.
Checked and emailed a report; started another.
Mr N and DB went to collect from Mr T while I laid table and finished dinner (rice cooked on the lounge fire).Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.7 -

Morning xx
Day 8. DS and I are still fine - touch wood; GF is on the mend and feeling well enough to do on line training today. I've cancelled my Annual Leave next week and I'm taking a week in January instead. I don't feel the need for more Leave straight after my impromptu fortnight off! It also means that I will be out of the house when DS moves his stuff out on 4th December. And in January I can get stuck in to decorating his room while it's empty. Sounds like a plan.
I'm up, made my bed, opened the curtains - grey old morning here, had breakfast and a brew, chatted with DS, texted supervisor to rearrange leave,,,and I'm just having a coffee made by DS.
Round 1 =
set WM swishing
get dressed
feed the birds
put out rubbish and recycling
WUDUPA a bowl of pots
WUDUPA the dreaded baking trays
That's a good start

Piggers, I know of someone related to my best friend who has died in your locality from Covid-19 in the last ten days. Mid- forties, no known health conditions, not obese, working one day, symptoms the next and dead in two days. Now is not the time to be complacent.
First lot of paid stuff done, dailies done, dogs walked, physio done.Spend less now, work less later.8 -

Good plan, Round!
ROTFL at Kaz's sheep!
This morning I have
- started a batch of yogurt
- S&S'd the kitchen
- hoovered the main rooms downstairs and the utility (but the floor in there is still covered with Rosie's muddy pawprints)
- arranged to have a smart meter fitted so that I no longer have the problem of crawling into the back of the cupboard under the stairs to read the meters: I think the young man who called was amazed that I wasn't prepared to sign up without asking a shed-load of questions first!
- waved to the window cleaner and informed DH that he needed to find some money to pay him (delegation of duties!!!)
- sorted some quick bits of admin
- re-started my written response to the consultation document, and already making better progress
but I need to make lunch now as I am expecting a call from the Opthalmologist (hopefully to discharge me) at 13:45.
After Rosie's walk and finishing my letter, I need to do lots of printing and collating for an Advent delivery from church which has to be out by this Sunday, rather than 1st December!
Hope everyone has a good day. (((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round, as needed xxx9
