Good afternoon all
Not sure where the morning went, but I have done today’s bathroom / ensuite / cloakroom list, towels are blowing on the line outside, whole house dusted and vacuumed. Except the DR as that is DH’s pit of an office atm. He has just retreated back there after I told him that it would be far more beneficial to spend 15 minutes going out for a walk when he gets a break than staying at the DR table 😈.
I filled my car up with petrol this morning, need to repeat the exercise with DD’s car this afternoon when I go to pick her up.
Jazee - procrastination is a much underrated skill. I spend days, even weeks, perfecting it!9 -
Afternoon all. I slept until 6.00 before joining the WAC today, but I woke up in such pain across my shoulders that I took my cuppa back to bed and dozed until 8.30, when DH got up to make breakfast. Fortunately a couple of parrots saw off (most of) the pain.
Since then I have
- hoovered and dusted all through upstairs
- FUPA all dry washing from yesterday
- tidied LR
- S&S'd kitchen and bathroom
- had about an hour-long phonecall with my nephew's wife - it's her birthday today - and updated part of the family tree with her help
- made leek and potato soup for lunch.
Soup's ready now so I must eat, then take Rosie out for her walk, and go to a Z00m meeting at 2.30 before going out to do odd bits of shopping.
Hope everyone's day is running smoothly xx7 -

Nipped to town for a few bits and went for more rabbit food - they still haven't got my preferred option in but I picked up a different type. Banked last lot of PTA money. Parking fees currently suspended - woot!
Came home; had lunch, made Christmas Cake which is now baking in a slow oven.

Wow, well done Round
In exactely an hour:
Cleared stuff that had accumulated on dining room table completely
WULTD
Prepared veg for dinner, pork already in SC
Cleaned cat's tray
Hoovered upstairs and around tray and entrance so whole house done today
Wiped down desk and dining table
Went and posted letter (only 25 metres down the road to post box but how long had it been waiting)
Bins all emptied (and I'm happy because my outside bin in too full to shut)
Stuff off stairs taken upstairs and put away
Rather pleased with myself, loads of little bits but it has made a difference.
Earlier in the afternoon I did phone the bank and hopefully sort a few issues

Pigpen I feel for you with swollen lips, it's taken 2 weeks for mine to go down after I licked a hot spoon. Years ago I split my bottom lip badly in an accident so now it has a lot of scar tissue which swells up and splits at the slightest opportunity. I looked and felt like I had been punched in the mouth. Luckily I have to wear a mask all the time at work or out of the house9
