Morning - rushing in so that I can still type that...
wm just starting its 2nd load, HHI done to clear the pile, quick visit to the allotment as DH was volunteering to dig in a new pallet to repair my compost heap, and I didn’t want to miss that rare opportunity of him helping. I’m now belatedly joining you all for coffee.6 -
Morning all, oops I mean afternoon!Just had a text, a dear relative is in hospital. Worried to say the least, therefore cannot settle to anything. More wood chopped, garage swept now toasties for lunch. Hugs to all xx7

One sock drawer Mari-konned or whatever it's called. I have 6 pairs of socks that have never been worn - don't remember ever seeing them before if I'm honest! 6 pairs of socks need a stitch or two - where they have caught on that annoying stair - which feels smooth if you look for the catch! I've brought them down and was all ready to start stitching but can I find my white cotton? Black cotton - yes. Needles - yes. So why isn't the white cotton there too? I've asked my personal shopper to pick up a reel of white cotton for me the next time she's out shopping. (She is still is shock that I've tidied my sock drawer
) There were no flingable socks as I've been very good and flung whenever I pulled out a pair that were beyond redemption.
I own pop socks in three colours. Well, who knew? And I have 8 deodorants (not counting the one in use) and 113 pant liners. A hoarder? Me? Noooo- just not planning on spending money on deodorant or pant liners at the beginning of 2021.
Cheese on toast for me now - it wasn't going to be until asb mentioned toasties and set my mouth watering.
Hugs

Had breakfast, WUALTD; taken recycling out, brought black bin in (was emptied Thursday...) bunnies hopping round garden. Used TD as weather foul; (but got it through on cheap rate) ironing up to date. Someone coming to collect media unit between 1-2; I'm in on my own and neighbours not in (I would normally ask them to keep an eye out/be aware IYSWIM) ...oh I'll pop rape alarm in my pocket...all stuff by front door ready to go.
Need to read meters and input readings. Lots of school xmas card envelopes snipped so that I'm only shredding the part with names on, other bits popped into recycling and the 'data' bits shredded. There's more to do but most have been done; shredder needs emptying too.
Veggie chilli out of the freezer for later.

Round 2 =

make a note of birthday presents I need to buy
write down who I've bought what for Christmas
make of note of presents still to buy
I will be organised. I will be organised. Anyone seen my ruby red slippers? These Betty Boop ones don't work

Hello again. ASB, hope your relative is ok. Kaz, thanks for the heads up on the bay and payp@l.
Dailies completed and popped to shop. Also done some knitting, read two chapters of new book and tidied the drawer in my sewing machine table.Spend less now, work less later.6 -
Hmmmm. I seem to have mislaid the Christmas card list from last year / all previous years. That will make the job interesting / challenging. I might leave it until tomorrow now while I procrastinate a bit more.WULTD. Meal planned. Sorted out a box of my mum’s jewellery. Funny how these insurmountable jobs can eventually be ok to do.5

Oh ASB thats not good, hope they are OK x
Kaz do you not get extra protection if you buy and sell through Paypal? I always thought that was the reason for using it. I would always feel happier using Paypal than my own bank account. Anyway I have fallen out of love with Ebay, mainly because people want amazing things for stupidly low prices.
Round you and your sock drawer have started me off. We have some bookshelves in the LR and on the bottom shelf are 3 wicker baskets - I dont even really know whats in them, I might have to investigate.
DH and I feel very smug because we have just done a 5 mile walk in the fog - a walk from our house that we have only done bits of before, we both said that if it wasnt for Covid we would have probably gone Christmas shopping today, walking was much nicer. WM on, fire lit, DS and GF have messaged to say they are making spag bol for tea so I dont need to cook.6 -

YL - if you are anything like me you will find forgotten treasures - forgotten as in 'don't remember ever laying eyes on that before - but it's nice so I'll keep it'(And get a nice surprise the next time I 'discover' it
)
Alexa is playing Christmas carols as I write. Silent Night came on whilst I was writing my Christmas cards and I had a major 'Mum' moment. Gulp. Which is odd as Mum's favourite carol by miles was In the Bleak Midwinter - sung to the right tune, of course. Ooops - set myself off again.
