How would we know , as unpaid volunteer assistants on a parking charge forum and with no affiliation to Parking Eye ?Seanmac said:Is this a common approach? I am wondering if this has something to do with the specific disclosure application I made to the court asking Parking Eye to disclose unredacted contractual documents.
Hence why I said email them2 -
It might just be automatic because you can't pay online for a case going to a hearing.
If P/Eye have sent you evidence and a WS then assume it's going ahead and send the court your phone number (assuming it's a phone hearing).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You may be right. I emailed them but no reply. The amount due was showing up on their website couple of days after the hotel canceled the parking charge and made a request. That's why i was wondering but probably they remove the provision 10 days before hearing or something.Coupon-mad said:It might just be automatic because you can't pay online for a case going to a hearing.

I received a letter from Parking Eye in the post today stating they consider this matter is closed now and the parking charge cancelled. They have enclosed a Notice of Discontinuance they sent to the court. I guess the court will automatically vacate the hearing now.
Thanks to all of those who took out time to respond to my query. Great help and great people.3 -
Belt and braces - check with the court. If they are behind in updating systems this could go ahead with you blissfully unaware, then there'll be a CCJ which will take far more to unravel - even if erroneously awarded against you - than a call to the court.Seanmac said:I received a letter from Parking Eye in the post today stating they consider this matter is closed now and the parking charge cancelled. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
