Washing machine problems

I got this machine in April and from the start there has been problems. There’s a fault with the drawer which means it can’t be removed and the plastic clip looks unfinished and a bit broken. Steam pours out the top of the machine (mostly the drawer) when I do hot washes. There was water in the machine when it arrived and now clothes are coming out stinking of mould, despite me trying everything to get rid of it. The latest issue is that it suddenly quits part way through a cycle. The lights are still on but it just stops and I have to start the cycle again which is annoying as the cycles can take up to 4hrs.
I’ve an engineer coming on Monday but I was wondering if anyone here knows what could be causing these problems or what could be done to fix them. The drawer is clearly a manufacturing fault but I don’t understand why it’s having all the other issues.

The machines are tested at the factory, that's why thry arrive with water in them, a boil wash should have cleaned anything out though. Can't help with the rest.1

I do regularly boil washes and I’ve spent a fortune on washing machine cleaners. Those things used to help but now it makes no difference at all. It’s a mystery to me how this machine has mould. The door is left open when it’s not in use and I dry it carefully.Spank said:The machines are tested at the factory, that's why thry arrive with water in them, a boil wash should have cleaned anything out though. Is the waste hose run properly? Out of the machine, up to level with the top of the machine, then down into a standpipe or spigot on the under sink drainage.1

I’m not strong enough to move it but from what I remember, there’s some type of clip holding it up near the top and then the end of it goes into a grey pipe near the sink. The retailer installed it.nofoollikeold said:Is the waste hose run properly? Update: Zanussi sent an engineer who said the only fault code that came up was for an unbalanced load at some point in time. He basically said I was lying and that ‘If there’s no fault code coming up, then there’s no fault’. He at least managed to fix the drawer (by cracking part of the plastic!).The latest issue is water pouring out of the drawer. It flooded half the kitchen yesterday. I can’t find any sort of blockage when I pour water through it. The machine also seems to have a mind of it’s own, doing very fast spins when I’ve set it on low spin. It also seems to spin at random times, mid cycle.Zanussi won’t help since their engineer says there’s no problem. The retailer is still ignoring all my calls and emails. My credit card company said that if the engineer says there’s no fault, they can’t help. So I’m stuck with this faulty machine. Does anyone know what I can do? The flooding is obviously the worst problem now.0

Take videos of the water coming out of the machine and send them to the manufacturer. They can't fob you off with no fault if you show them evidence of it.1

Have you checked the filter?0

Have you checked the water is able to get out the outlet pipe and its not the drain or the pipe connected to the outlet pipe which is blocked?0

I’ve already sent them a video of the steam pouring out the top and lots of dripping, requiring towels underneath to soak it up. They just ignore me. I got a copy&paste email reply 3 weeks later. Then when I replied back, they sent another email a week later saying ‘Thank you for using Zanussi. We hope you are satisfied with your experience...’RelievedSheff said:Take videos of the water coming out of the machine and send them to the manufacturer. It’s crazy! It just goes round in a loop.0
