@molerat is getting Outlook mixed up with Outlook ..... You are using the web based version.Bogof_OAP said:Where do I find Tools?
@hotmail.com @live .com and @outlook.com are all email addresses from the Microsoft stableJ_B said:As I said above, there are two sorts of 'Outlook', just to make things easy!!!Outlook - a stand-alone program/app that is part of MS Office along with Word, Excel etcOutlook - a website based version of the above, but different. There you go, it really is that simple!!!
EDIT - maybe try this .....Do you see a cog in the top right of the main mail page?Click on it and scroll down to 'all outlook settings' - a new box opens up on topOn the left is a 'button' marked 'email' click on it then click on 'Synch Email' then look for 'manage your connected accounts' in the middle of the screen.Do you have any other email addresses in there that aren't yours????If so, delete themAny use?
Fallen at the first hurdle I'm afraid, there's no cog, in fact nothing at all on the right at the top of my mailboxes. Thanks for the illustrations molerat but my page looks nothing like your illustrations.
I set the rule by choosing Preferences from the drop down menu and selecting Rules. Still getting a few slipping through the net into my Junk but fewer than before, so I have no idea what is going on.
You wouldn't think it would be next to impossible to delete an unwanted email address would you?Used to be Bogof_Babe. It did need updating!0 -

Thanks so much for continuing to try to help, but I am giving up now. I followed the instructions on that link above, clicked on Mail, Preferences, Accounts, but the rogue email address is not listed, neither is anything that could be connected to hotmail.
Just going to have to live with this I'm afraid, unless when the shops open I can get an appointment at an Apple store and see if they have any ideas.
Thanks again, at least I know I've tried everything now.Used to be Bogof_Babe. It did need updating!1
