Sorry, you're missing my point. There are 2 kinds of Wii Remotes available in the UK

1) Ones sold for the UK Market, which RRP at £29.99
2) Ones imported from mainland europe/china/japan, which have an RRP in their country of origin + whatever costs to get them to the UK, generally these retail for more as you have to pay more to get them here. Hence the company above charging £39.99 for them, as they will of incurred costs bringing them to the UK from elsewhere.

I would advise anyone ordering the Wii Play from play.com to phone and check their order. Just phoned to check mine, and was told that it was out of stock and they don't know when they are getting stock in, he advised me to cancel the order altogether. They shouldn't show it as 'in stock' if its not.

Same happened to me, posted about it over the weekend. Really annoyed with Play, especially considering I'd spent £290 with them last week buying a Wii. Won't be buying anything from them again I'm afraid after this incident!

Hi, Sorry to bother you all but does anyone know if the Japanese remotes work here on my uk wii? I cant test it myself as "Santa" has wrapped tit and taken it away (To Nannys house! Shhhh)
I brought it from a mobile phone shop in Milton Keynes for 35.99.

Play.com have wii remotes in stock and at £29-99 shame no wii play but at least you will have the remote for Christmas states ships within 24 hours.
