Driving lessons question

And .gov saysIn England, you can only practise driving with members of your household or support bubble and it’s travel for work, education or other necessary journeys. This is because of coronavirus (COVID-19).When asked by a driving instructors representative body DVSA were very non committal and said it was a police matter !Seems down to the usual COVID no one actually is sure what is law and what is advice and will not commit themselves in case they get sued.0

I dont. I just saw a learner car with the company name on the top. One person driving ( very slowly ) and another in the passenger.Sandtree said:
How do you know it was a commercial lesson?venomx said:I saw someone having a driving lesson earlier , are they flouting the rules?
Good point though it could have just been a family member0 -
It wouldn't matter. The DVSA guidance to instructors doesn't allow any exceptions.venomx said:

As others have mentioned, this will need to be times around COVID-restrictions, but it seems as though the OP has the luxury of time in that regard.venomx said:I'll be getting some lessons in soon as I havent drove in a few years ( refreshers)
Is it possible to pay as you go and just book one at a time as I'll only need 3 or 4 at most .
I'd be looking to do them in mornings as that's when it suits me beet
Also is it important to do a lesson at night ?
When I had lessons before we never did any driving in the dark and I was fine, I also don't expect to be driving when its dark either.?
My wife had to give up her driving licence for medical reasons and was about 10 years before she could get the licence back. Once she did so, she took a short course of refresher lessons with AA driving school and she found it really helpful in re-building her confidence.

She did not do the Pass Plus as the stress of another "test" was not welcome, but I did link the instructor saying she was "good" to buying her a new car, so that was a good motivation. I also wanted her into a safer car than the 20-yo she had.
She choose the AA as they actually had the "product" for refresher lessons, whereas some of the other local driving schools were quite flummoxed by the request. My wife had practice on maneuvers, motorway, and in the dark (it was February so dark most of the time anyway).0
