    V5C (logbook, if you still own the car) yes, and/or a utility bill to prove your address, yes.

    Driving Licence or passport - absolute NO!
    C-m, perhaps this line in the NEWBIES could be changed. A skim reader might assume supplying ID should be refused.

    "You do NOT have to supply intrusive ID (driving licence or Passport) so refuse."
    I married my cousin. I had to...
    I don't have a sister. :D

    Update: i have received acknowledgement from court today that the defence has been received and forwarded to the claimant.
    I have also received an email from UKPPO Data protection with all the details and images of the car they have. I have realised one thing that the PCN was issued 01.10.2019. NTK was sent who gave my details. The first notice i have received in my name on  27.11.2019 and i have appealed on 15.12.2019 (within 19 days of receiving the first notice)  to UKPPO which was rejected with a note:
     '"Please be advised that the time in which to submit a challenge has now expired and access to the Independent Appeal Service is no longer available".
    I was wondering why didn't they give 28 days to the driver from the date of first letter/notice when liability was transferred?
    I would be grateful if someone can shed some light on this point. Thank you

    They didn't give you any time because the industry is unregulated and they are allowed to make it up as they go along.

    will it be worth raising in the witness statement or is it too late and irrelevant?

    Well worth mentioning.   Judge should be interested to hear that they failed to allow you any appeal whatsoever.

    why not submit those documents to the IAS , (or whatever it is this week ) and ask them to investigate the actions of one of there members , they cannot argue to the responce to a legal doc , (the sar) , and a dated email/letter from them declining right to appeal , if they will not accept this , then the sar is fake

    either way
    sanction time ;

    by your reconing they conned you out of an appeal so why not ask there governing body WHY , and are they going to sanction or ban the company for doing this
