I'm sure stress brought on my menopause, apparently it can bring on early menopause - although it wasn't early really, but it did appear at a time of stress so I didn't realise what it was.  Yup, both are horrible and both together even worse.  I had a sort of good day today - got a couple of frogs eaten and so I'm hoping for a more productive Friday.  It was also a bit calmer as I was on my own most of the day (I had a lovely candle burning too)  and then had a fairly relaxing evening.  What a difference it makes.

I can actually declare myself debt-neutral this month - I'm even owed £50 by someone so that's even better (I think).  Next month I'll be starting to build up the cash emergency fund, and then from 1st January (or whenever the mortgage payment goes out) we will have 15% equity by my calculations, so a nice start to the new year.  I need to do the calculations for next years overpayments so I can continue on the MFW challenge.  Serious OPs starting after Easter and I'm planning on OPing at least £8k next year.

In the meantime, I've drawn myself up a plan for yoga/pilates, exercising, walking and meditating over the week.  I find it easier to follow if I've got it written down.  Although still 22 items on the To Do list, but I have made progress by booking my flu vaccination so that can be crossed off soon.  And I'm aiming to cross a few more off over the weekend.

I've also had the notification from the bank for my current account switch - another £125 should be hitting my account soon   Will help to make up for all the accidental overspends recently.

Managed to go shopping today and didn't pay for two of anything that I only bought one of - my self scanning is getting better .  My new bank cards and information arrived today, so I'll go through that over the weekend.  I've realised I have a payment that I may need to change manually - I'm not sure if its a direct debit - one to check.  And I managed to get up early and get my exercise in before the work day began 🌞.  Feel like I'm going into the weekend with more energy and feeling more organised.

Well done on the exercise and successful scanning... Huge congratulations on being debt neutral - that's fab news! Another step closer to financial freedom.

Thank you DfOD and SH.  I managed another good day today as well   Debt neutral feels so good SH.  We were debt-free last year, but moving house was more expensive than we thought.

One positive though has been that we've invested the money in our home, rather than the historical purchases of cars, holidays, going out etc. that just disappear in a puff of smoke.  Our money before having several lightbulb moments:

  • I'm not sure where the weekend has gone.  It feels like its been busy, but my ToDo list still has 22 items on it.  Its still good to have the list though - I've worked out that's the list of things I need to do but keep putting off and it does feel good to have it all on one page.  To be fair a few things are partly crossed off, where I've booked people to do things, but am waiting on responses/dates etc.  So progress made, but another push is needed.  I need to take my phone into the piece of fruit shop to see if they will fit me a new battery.  They were £50 at one point, which would be great as the only thing wrong with it is the battery - but I'm concerned they'll see I have had a non-branded screen replacement and refuse.  Will be worth trying though.  Hope everyone has had a good weekend.  We're starting the countdown to December now - looking forward to payday

  • Fingers crossed they fixed the phone. I had to read that twice thinking why are you taking your phone to a fruit shop?!!!

  • Thanks SH and DFOD, my phone works but the battery doesn't hold very much.  Its not too much of a problem at the moment as I don't really go anywhere far, and I've got one of those portable chargers, but its not ideal.  The battery indicator says its needs a new one, but I've heard that if there's anything wrong with your phone they won't change the battery unless you have the other things changed too, but its worth a try.  I've ordered a new cover for it - I like the wallet ones and this must be about the fourth one I've had.  I was trying to hang on in case I had to change phones, but the clip has broken and it comes apart which is a bit dangerous as my debit cards are in the wallet bit.  I need to book a slot at the fruit shop

  • I’m sure they tweak your battery life to make you get new phones.
