Downstairs Toilet ideas

Hi,
A friend of mine recently suggested moving in with me and becoming my housemate. With sharing bills this would be great for me. However one thing we both agreed on was the need for a second bathroom.
Being a 1930s house it just has the standard upstairs bathroom. So I want to look at fitting one in somewhere downstairs. However I'm not sure where
Does anyone have any ideas?
This is a plan of my downstairs. The red lines are my kitchen units (and before anyone says, my understairs cupboard is apparently too narrow for a bathroom

we had planned to put in an ensuite to the master bedroom when we bought our house, but when we got the builders round to give us a quote for doing this, they said it was going to be very difficult as the site is not near to the waste drain. you should therefore get the builders to come round and give you a quote. they will be able to advise you where is the best location to put the toilet in.0

Where is the upstairs bathroom in relation to downstairs? More importantly the downpipe?0

How far does the stairs come down into the downstairs hallway. In a lot of houses of that style the downstairs loo is usually situated at the front next to the front door.0

The obvious place is to put it in the l part of the kitchen , it only needs to be a small shower room but it depends on the routing of the toilet waste pipe0

Would it be possible to install and en-suite in one of the bedrooms? Even if only a toilet and basin. If you mean installing a bath/shower room downstairs I don't see anywhere which wouldn't greatly reduce the size of one of the rooms, which don't seem massive to start with.

To clarify, what do you actually want... a bathroom, shower room or W.C. with washbasin? How many Bedrooms do you have?

So you're considering spending thousands of pounds to install a second bathroom for your lodger in order for you to save money on your bills? Can you not see the flaw in that plan?2
