In your position I would contact the sellers and ask that they give notice. If they will then that at least cuts the waiting time. When we moved the previous occupants were very helpful about that aspect.0

Are you signing up to the same providers as the existing owners? So annoying having to wait a while to get internet up and running when most people are working from home, I imagine many people will be experiencing the same.0

So annoying having to wait a while to get internet up and running when most people are working from home, I imagine many people will be experiencing the same.We called last week to cancel ours and were told that we'd be connected for another 30 days and that they suggested that the new buyers took over our contract because our broadband would block them buying any themselves. It strikes me as a bit of a scam to retain custom. We haven't even exchanged contracts yet, so we were premature, but we have moved out. We're leaving the router for them so they can use our broadband and we'll pay for it.We got an issue at the new house too. Delays. I ordered the new FTTP on 20th October, given a connection date of 11th November which came and went. They haven't even surveyed and we have no copper line as a temporary measure either. They can't promise me weekly updates!!We all have unlimited data plans but the TV refuses to hotspot for some reason, so no On Demand during lockdown. The world is ending!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

To start with I thought not having Wi-Fi won;t be an issue and can hotspot however I suddenly realised how reliant all of our smart home technology is on a router. I could of course get a temporary router and connect everything to this (with no internet connection) but it's a waste of time.0 -

Do your current supplier do a house move service? I am with ee for home and mobile and they added a large amount of data ( 100Gb i think) to my mobile contract to tide over any delays getting broadband up and running in the new house. Phone was working on day 1, internet took a few days to get working.0
