Have you considered switching supplier or are you tied into a fixed term contract with EDF?

To get an idea of other tariffs have a look at Octopus Energy to give you a guide. I've just had a look and their electricity tariff is under 16p but you need to consider standing charges and also the cost of your gas supply. Alternatively put some figures based on house size into a comparison site and see what comes up.
Im not tied with EDF, I can switch anytime. I even used MSE comparison site but even them showing 17 something per kWh and some even higher hence I asked how much everyone pay as even single rate appears to of no difference

16p that is still expensive. Not a lot difference to a dayrate I pay on Eco7 and not enough reason for me to switch. I was hoping for a lot lower rate really but it seems I cant find any which makes me think to stay on and use most of tumble drying and laundry during my night rate

  • I registered with Symbio Energy just now and my qoute was Day13.815 p per kWh, Night 9.980 p per kWh, Standing Charge16.500 p per day under Low Fair and Green 18M Fixed Saver SE01. I might switch to a single rate when Im in which is on November 22.
I chose monthly direct debit variable which I will pay my actual usage which I really like as I hate estimated ones.
