Some younger people think it's cool to not wear a belt on their trousers, so the trousers half fall down and we get to see their underwear. Why?

If your shreddies need jet-washing it’s probably best to cut out the middleman and just bin them,...or better still, burn them.

Just posting this lightheartedly as it always puzzles me. My neighbour has a car and on an almost weekly basis he spends a good couple of hours jetwashing it, including jetwashing the engine bay. I'm not an expert but surely you're asking for trouble doing this? He recently swapped cars after his old one died and after he started jetwashing the new one he had loads of problems with it within a short period of time. It's not even just a cursory once over, he REALLY pokes the jetwash right in there for long periods of time. Why would anyone do this?

No way should you ever jet wash your engine bay....asking for trouble. I would not even use a jet wash on the bodywork!!....(the last time I tried it some of the paint came away!!)OK to use with a "low pressure" setting and a rotary brush, and also to clean wheels only, but that's about it....."It's everybody's fault but mine...."0

Why?
It's called "Sagging" and is said to have originated in US prisons. The inmates were often given prison uniforms which were far too big for them and since they were not allowed to wear belts, this often meant the crotch of their trousers ended up between their knees. Upon release many of them continued with the habit because they believed it gave them some street cred by letting everybody know they had served a term inside. Manufacturers cottoned on to this and in the same way that they make "designer" jeans that are ripped, they make other versions that don't fit. So, if they knew it, those following that fashion are trying to let the world know they have been inside.
However, I digress!1 -
