J_B said:I bought a 5 user license off eBay - was rather expensive though ...... £1.99I also bought a cheapie like that J_B for Microsoft Office 2016 which works absolutely fine. What I have noticed however is that it does not seem to get updated on the monthly Windows Patch Tuesday, whereas my older Office 2010 suite does. I suspect that this may be something to do with the Microsoft licensing arrangements.I'm not really bothered TBH, but I did just wonder whether anyone else had noticed this

How does this work if I install on my desktop, but then do some work on my laptop at home, but I want to use the files which are on my desktop - can I access my files and still use them on my laptop. Or do I have to buy two licenses?

They are pushed through Click-To-Run.Office 2007 and 2010 (and in some circumstances 2013 and 2016) would have got all their updates through Windows Update (if you had Microsoft Update set up, and not just the standard Windows Update).1

But, I bought 2 keys for Office 2016 and 1 for Office 2019 last week and none of them work and the sellers accounts were closed within 24 hours...

I noticed that all the people selling them have accounts with no transactions against them - ie zero trades.

I downloaded Office 2019 Pro Plus, did it from email. All up and running well. Feel much happier with this product - I can now ignore all those 'install and upgrade 365' messages etc :-)
