I have been pretty AWOL through December - sorry everyone!
Managed to pot some roadkill found when out walking over the Christmas period.
I have massively overspent on Christmas (due to the new rules, we ended up having Christmas alone rather than with families so spent more on food than I ever have done lol) so will have to be very frugal this month, but hoping to stash away some change at least.Save £12k in 2022 = £3705.97/ £7,500 (49%)

Good Afternoon all SPCers! I hope you all had a really lovely weekend folks. Keep warm, and very healthy!!A VERY SAFE, HEALTHY & HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!! 😊🤩For all those of you who are either poorly or feeling low or miserable in any way, our very best wishes that you'll soon be feeling very much better.Elephantchunks - it sounds as though your savings will definitely be secured, well done you! There's no need to let us know exactly how much you've started potting with, though you've got a fantastic beginning! Very well done. 🤩NotARealAvery - Very well done with your savings so far!!Ah of course, I should have remembered Hetty. Not to worry, best they take a while and get the name they're happy with, just a shame about you wanting it for the card.Excellent potting this week with the other cash you've potted too!! 🤗Ah! So by your last post, I see Ralph is the name of your great nephew!A very happy New Year to you too, Frogletina!!!Excellent potting with the money you didn't need!! 🤗An ideal way to save for presents for Christmas.I'm truly delighted you were able to spend so much time with your darling great-grandchildren.Our friends have just received the news of their granddaughter giving birth to a baby boy, so they're all thrilled too! They are the friends whose dear son passed away due to cancer in 2016.Very well done, mummytummy!!An excellent start, Doily94! 🤩 That 20p might have been sad looking in the scanning machine, but it'll be happy in your pot, even more so when it gets some friends!! 🤗A great amount, Rdpncp! 😍 Keep tidying up behind whomever it is that leaves money around!Though I understand what you mean about not counting, I doubt you'll ever remember it from month to month, the rest of us don't. You pot exactly as you wish though and hopefully have a lovely surprise in October! 🤩Hi Saver-upper! Lovely to see you and I hope you have a good and especially a healthy 2021!Re the Grand Total: If you look at the bottom of my siggie you'll see the GT there, roughly £37 k!! Excellent considering the amount of members who have been unable to get back on MSE. I've £114 plus to add from Dragon Lily, but when I go to update it, I'm unable to even SEE IT. All down to the new format. 😡The Grand Total was put on either at the end of November or the beginning of December on this thread, so it shouldn't be too hard to find.Excellent potting!!! 🤗Amazing work in paying off your debts, Chocolatedrinker, congratulations!! 🤗Good potting and it's fine doing it via the bank. I hope you're successful in having a lovely surprise!Hi little-sweetie, and a very happy New Year to you and G also, definitely a healthy one for sure! Have a look at the 1st paragraph of the 1st post on Page 1 for ideas of how to save now we don't shop, I hope it helps you. I save via doing an IOU list in a small book, that way there's no fear of handling money or anything else. 😷 I don't know whether you've got a mobile phone, but quite a few potters get a Plum app. Have a look and see what you think.Hi delta13, I can understand how it's been easy to overspend one way or the other over the Christmas last.If any of the food has a good sell by date, would it be ok to keep until next Christmas??You can still be frugal whatever. All the best in potting well, collecting roadkill too! 😉£20 put on the IOU list once again, so long as I still save, that's fine by me! 😉A VERY SAFE, HEALTHY & HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!! 😊🤩Enjoy a good MONDAY folks, and TAKE CARE .....PLEASE!!NB folks: Opening date for SPC 14 is 28th October 2021.Anyone wishing to join us, it's NEVER too late!😊 So please just ask and you will be made very welcome.Sealed Pot Challenge 001 My Totals = 08 = £163.95 09 = £315.78 10 = £518.80 11 = £481.87 12 = £694.53 13 = £1200.20! 14 = £881 15 = £839.21 16 = £870.48 17 = £871.52 18 = £800.00 19 = £851.022021=£820.26[/SizeGrand Totals of all members (2008 uncounted) 2009 = £32.154.32! 2010 = £37.581.47! 2011 = £42.474.34! 2012 = £49.759.46! 2013 = £50.642.78! 2014 = £61.367.88!! 2015 = £52.852.06! 2016 = £52, 002.40!! 2017 = £50,456.23!! 2018 = £47, 815.88! 2019 = £38.538.37!!!! :j4 -
Thanks for adding me! I've added it to my sig 👍
I just sold my son's old cot on Facebook for £20 which is going straight into the pot! I gave away nearly everything of his from when he was small (which I'm happy about) but now I am going to start selling things he grows out of for a few extra £.
I also tried to sign up to a discounted beauty box but the transaction wouldn't go through, so I had time to check myself and put the £8 into the pot instead 😊Mortgage Total #1: £166,000 OPs so far: £10,250

So your No now is 067
Good Morning all SPCers! I hope you all had a good Tuesday folks. Keep warm, and very healthy!!
You're most welcome krl147. Very many thanks for adding your No to your sig.Well done for selling on things your Son no longer needs! Far better to sell things on and pot the cash. Why keep a hold of things that won't be of any use to you no matter what his age is! 😊Also, well done in potting the £8 that might otherwise have been wasted! 😉A good start to you too, Money_Choices. Brilliant work in saving cash hidden away, far better in your pot anyday! 🤩That was fortunate that you thought your DD would need headphones at school today, Doily94! As it turns out she possibly not even need them at all now she's not going to school for a while!! 😉 Still, at least you've already potted the money found in your search! 🤩That's a good find, Rdpncp! ☺️ Fingers crossed about the shopping change! 😉Hi 32b3! Good to hear you're still potting, though as if you wouldn't be! 😊We've quite a lovely number of new members now, brilliant too! 😊Enjoy a good WEDNESDAY folks, and TAKE VERY GREAT CARE PLEASE!! 😊NB folks: Opening date for SPC 14 is 28th October 2021.Anyone wishing to join us, it's NEVER too late!😊 So please just ask and you will be made very welcome.
