I have been pretty AWOL through December - sorry everyone!
Managed to pot some roadkill found when out walking over the Christmas period. 
I have massively overspent on Christmas (due to the new rules, we ended up having Christmas alone rather than with families so spent more on food than I ever have done lol) so will have to be very frugal this month, but hoping to stash away some change at least.

I'm truly delighted you were able to spend so much time with your darling great-grandchildren. 

Our friends have just received the news of their granddaughter giving birth to a baby boy, so they're all thrilled too! They are the friends whose dear son passed away due to cancer in 2016.

Though I understand what you mean about not counting, I doubt you'll ever remember it from month to month, the rest of us don't. You pot exactly as you wish though and hopefully have a lovely surprise in October! 🤩

Re the Grand Total: If you look at the bottom of my siggie you'll see the GT there, roughly £37 k!! Excellent considering the amount of members who have been unable to get back on MSE. I've £114 plus to add from Dragon Lily, but when I go to update it, I'm unable to even SEE IT. All down to the new format. 😡

The Grand Total was put on either at the end of November or the beginning of December on this thread, so it shouldn't be too hard to find.

Hi little-sweetie, and a very happy New Year to you and G also, definitely a healthy one for sure! Have a look at the 1st paragraph of the 1st post on Page 1 for ideas of how to save now we don't shop, I hope it helps you. I save via doing an IOU list in a small book, that way there's no fear of handling money or anything else. 😷 I don't know whether you've got a mobile phone, but quite a few potters get a Plum app. Have a look and see what you think.

I just sold my son's old cot on Facebook for £20 which is going straight into the pot! I gave away nearly everything of his from when he was small (which I'm happy about) but now I am going to start selling things he grows out of for a few extra £.
I also tried to sign up to a discounted beauty box but the transaction wouldn't go through, so I had time to check myself and put the £8 into the pot instead 😊

I started saving in my pot today with £1.87 a mixture of rounding down my cash purse to a round pound amount and money I’ve found at the bottom of a bag of paperwork I’ve been decluttering.

Tidied out an old chest of drawers today looking for headphones for my daughter to take to school tomorrow and found 95p in change, as well as a lot of small bits of other currencies.

£2.35 tidied up, living room is almost tidy from the festive period now with last of decorations coming down today.
Doubt I'll find much more loose change about now, will just have to take from change from shopping, if any (mostly card payments atm)

MostlyFine - you're right in that you don't still have the same No. For those who fail to return in 2 weeks after the Declaration Day, they're all taken from the list, it's necessary I'm afraid or we'd have hundreds of none members on the thread! 🙄Like you though, if you want to return then do as you've done and rejoin.
